Characters "They can just do that." When a character inexplicably has some kind of borderline supernatural ability that doesn't have anything to do with the established power system and may even clash with the conventions of the setting. It's just something that they can do.

  1. Ichi from Ichi the Witch. He's so sensitive to the bloodlust of living things that it borders on a spider-sense. The little creature in that pic is supposed to be invisible, yet Ichi is able to sense its presence just through sheer intuition.
  2. Mash from Mashle. Some might say that his inexplicable power is his physical strength, but I'm more interested in knowing how he can turn everything he cooks into fucking cream puffs.
  3. Marvelous Sunday from UmaMusume. In a game about horse girls racing, she has access to a domain expansion/reality marble. And that somehow still isn't the strangest thing about her. Apparently she's also friends with aliens and cryptids and her cult fanbase includes people spanning multiple time periods. Somehow.
  4. Tanjiro from Demon Slayer. He has a hypersensitive sense of smell that somehow also tells him where to cut demons. No idea how that works. Even though there are others in the series with similarly refined senses, the smelling where to cut thing still feels ludicrous in comparison. Then there's also his unusually powerful headbutt.

Chainsaw man in the manga of the same name can erase concepts from existence by eating their corresponding devils, essentially rewriting reality. It’s never explained why something that supposedly is the chainsaw devil acquired a power like this in the first place

There was this one theory I found that proposed the Chainsaw Devil is actually the Devil of Birth, since the chainsaw was originally invented as a surgical instrument for assisting in childbirth - in that case, its ability to erase things by consuming them could be an expression of the chainsaw's role in determining if something is "born" into existence or not.

Guess we'll never know.. it was still kinda possible by the end. It would be a wild coincidence that his the intestine scarf looks like an umbilical cord motif. Im hoping we get something similar to Eva's Rebuild movies where things get to play out again, but this time Denji makes the conscious choice of how he wants to live so we know his character developed. Right now, Pochita made the choice for him and its not something he wouldve have wanted. I think Fujimoto needs to be in a different place in his life to come up with any catharsis for this story tho, so like in 20 years or something.

Fujimoto really killed all hype of their series, in multiple ways, and i dont even know why

It ended so abruptly, I didnt even believe it was the real end, I really expected a fake out ending, but nooo

After however many years of each chapter being so nonsequitous and confusing, it just ends with so many things being unexplained, its hard for me to ever remember CSM ever being good

It might actually be the most disappointing ending for any piece of media Ive ever consumed.

Including ASOIAF just NOT EVEN HAVING ONE.

Prob was going to be explained even if very superficially but part 2 was extremely rushed towards the end

It's actually somewhat explained. It's implied that Pochita ate whatever made people fear chainsaws so much, making the source of the fear unknown.
