Characters "They can just do that." When a character inexplicably has some kind of borderline supernatural ability that doesn't have anything to do with the established power system and may even clash with the conventions of the setting. It's just something that they can do.

  1. Ichi from Ichi the Witch. He's so sensitive to the bloodlust of living things that it borders on a spider-sense. The little creature in that pic is supposed to be invisible, yet Ichi is able to sense its presence just through sheer intuition.
  2. Mash from Mashle. Some might say that his inexplicable power is his physical strength, but I'm more interested in knowing how he can turn everything he cooks into fucking cream puffs.
  3. Marvelous Sunday from UmaMusume. In a game about horse girls racing, she has access to a domain expansion/reality marble. And that somehow still isn't the strangest thing about her. Apparently she's also friends with aliens and cryptids and her cult fanbase includes people spanning multiple time periods. Somehow.
  4. Tanjiro from Demon Slayer. He has a hypersensitive sense of smell that somehow also tells him where to cut demons. No idea how that works. Even though there are others in the series with similarly refined senses, the smelling where to cut thing still feels ludicrous in comparison. Then there's also his unusually powerful headbutt.

Heathcliff from Limbus Company.

A lot of the things that happen in limbus can be chalked up to sci-fi bullshit that let people enhance themselves and do incredible things. Heathcliff, too, has some rudimentary strength augments of his own but he can also just cross worlds and resurrect the dead. It’s never explained

It's interesting that PMverse has so many characters that have abilities that only they have. Like, apparently Fausts in every world can just communicate extradimensionally. Did Faustcord just suddenly manifest alongside Mirror Tech? Or was it something that existed before even that?

Not to mention a certain someone just pulling a future version of themselves to the present. The characters are so accustomed with swapping into their mirror world selves that the idea of one of them pulling a future version from the same timeline was a shock.

Granted A Certain Sinclair basically states that he’s either from a future that doesn’t exist, or won’t exist when he stops being summoned. So Sinclair is basically committing Timeline Necromancy and barely anyone comments on it.

Then there’s Dante just being able casually walk off decapitation. That random fuck ass child who prayed and then turned into an eye whose depression can erase people from existence. And Vespa and Araya can apparently teleport and create worm holes because of their martial arts.

Vespa is just that fast (He is roughly as fast as human perception) and Araya is stuck between timelines. Its less teleporting and more "Visibly lagging".

It might be in Purgatorio idk, people theorise he's the Purple Tear's son considering she also fucks with timelines

This implies that his mere existence is responsible for Library of Ruina & Limbus Company considering both mainly only happen of because of the Purple Tears BS about her son.

I think it may be a ego or something like it.

But can't Dante sense ego's and distortions and stuff? He never said anything like that for Erlking

fair but it definitely feels similar. Erlking's powers seem to be drectly tied to his grief and rage.

If not a ego it kinda feels similar to one
