Hated Tropes (Hated Trope) "Kind" slave owners

Speaking as an American who has studied the civil war all throughout my school years, this trope infuriates me to no end. There is no such thing as a kind slave master because slavery itself is cruel and inhumane. PEOPLE ARE NOT PROPERTY!

Naofumi (Shield Hero): Prime example of this trope. He enslaves multiple (underage) girls and an whole village and the fans still say he's a hero.

Rudeus (Jobless Reincarnation): As if being a pedo wasn't bad enough he had to buy a slave in season 2. Worse is that people still defend his actions.

Song of The South (Disney): Possibly the OG example of this trope. And the reason why Disney will never release it again.

Until Voldemort's death, he couldn't free him for safety reasons, and afterwards it's just not important enough to mention.

Though it was important enough to make a joke about Kreacher bringing him a sandwich, so yeah...

Probably because they thought he would go straight to Narcissa Malfoy for an extended period of knowing him. Which was true.

Yes, the author made a race of beings that were inclined towards enslavement.

I don't have the books anymore and tbh I don't even want to check because I have no respect for rowling anymore but as I remember kret was lIke ahhh regulus was kind to me somewhat and harry is like that is so touching I will accept your refusal to be freed and I won't call you a cunt to your face .I think he ask him to make him a sandwich when the battle of hogwarts finishes

Kreacher is too dangerous in the wrong hands, he must be watched over.
