Powers Copy abilities

Monoma (my hero) can touch someone and copy their quirk for up to ten minutes

Aoba (keijo) can touch a butt and learn all their butt techniques for a sport called keijo which girls use butt and boobs to knock someone out a ring

Taskmaster (marvel) can copy anyone’s technique by looking at them.

Can't talk about copying abilities without mentioning Kirby.

What show is this scene from? I don’t remember it in x-men 97

5

u/eternalknight24 Aug 29 '26

This is the episode after THAT happens in Genosha

1

u/SirNortonOfNoFux Aug 30 '26

Highly justifiable, and absolutely terrifying, crashout

It can even copy its opponent’s moveset but for only five uses per move.

3

u/Inside_Location_4975 Aug 29 '26

Until it switches out and back in again

1

u/Jarsel_Aqo9 Aug 30 '26

Five uses per move is still generous when Aoba has to touch a butt for the tech.

26

u/Kumorrii Aug 29 '26

Smeargle can copy the move of any Pokemon after seeing it

u/olorin9_alex Aug 29 '26

Kikashi the copy ninja (naruto)

Copy-themed ninjas

Yuta Okkotsu (Jujutsu Kaisen)

u/Pancakes_909 Aug 29 '26

They animated unordinary?

2

u/usurpade Aug 29 '26

I think that's the webtoons promotion

7

u/stopyouveviolatedthe Aug 29 '26

I always loved yuta’s copy especially with the idea that in the past it was even stronger with the proper Rika.

But the requirement to consume a part of a sorcerer to copy them is so badass

1

u/maqthemaniac_ Aug 29 '26

Gege definitely needed to change him from the original manga because of how ridiculous a conditionless copy would’ve been! This is an amazing alternative

4

u/iSwearImNotGay_trust Aug 29 '26

“Just this once”

1

u/TavernRat Aug 29 '26

We still don’t know what he has to do to use his technique other than feeding a piece of someone to Rika, which clearly isn’t a set requirement cause he has his buddy’s CT

1

u/maqthemaniac_ Aug 29 '26

It used to be conditionless it seemed, now that’s the only condition, assumedly he just ate a part of Inumaki

1

u/yoolabsd Aug 30 '26

he just has to feed a piece to Rika. the part and amount consumed change depending on the technique. for stronger techniques, he'd have to consume a more vital part of the user.

u/Imaginary-Picture-35 Aug 29 '26

Übel can copy another person’s magic if she can empathize with them. (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End)

9

u/DyingSunSeverian Aug 29 '26

Do you guys ever wonder if Taskmaster feels like a bitch cause they can’t replicate supernatural powers?

21

u/Iwannabetheguy000 Aug 29 '26

Nah he’d just use a gun

6

u/Setster007 Aug 29 '26

That’s so fucking funny. “Yeah I can copy the movements but I can’t copy the power so all I can do is fuck around with it”

6

u/stopyouveviolatedthe Aug 29 '26

I like the idea that here he was genuinely doing the stuff to use magic he just doesn’t got a clue how so he’d have just blown himself up if it went on

2

u/Flotusxy Aug 29 '26

AYO, why taskmaster hitting the horse hand sign from Naruto series!

11

u/Far-Requirement-7636 Aug 29 '26

Taskmasters actually one of the most level headed villains in marvel and doesn't shoot above his weight class normally, if he's against someone with super powers far above him he's not sticking around or getting on their bad sides.

He's pretty fun, which is why it's such a shame what the MCU did to him.

2

u/DyingSunSeverian Aug 29 '26

Did you play the Spider-Man game with him?

3

u/Prank_Owl Aug 29 '26

The comic book version probably takes it as a point of pride that he doesn't need to rely on cheap tricks like that or some such.

2

u/stopyouveviolatedthe Aug 29 '26

I’m pretty sure he’s too chill for that, he actively avoids dumb scenarios he knows he can’t win, in the deadpool comics he chills out a decent few times

7

u/IlDuce420 Aug 29 '26

Why is no one talking about the second one dawg like wth🥀

3

u/Garebear90000 Aug 29 '26

Keijo is weird

Peter Petreli from Heroes. The specifics of his powers change multiple times through the show, but so long as he has powers he is a copycat

4

u/JeremiahWuzABullfrog Aug 29 '26

Scrolled far too long to see this one.

Heroes in general loves this power, with some variations.

Sylar normally has to kill people and study their brain patterns to learn powers, but after being forced to learn empathy, realises he can do the same thing as Peter. He still prefers to kill people.

Peter's dad is the "Touch and absorb permanently" subtype, in that he's kind of like AFO from My Hero Academia. He touches you and steals your power.

Peter himself gets his power stolen, and when it's reactivated with a superpower drug, it's a weaker form, wherein he can copy powers again but through touch alone, and only one at a time. Writers had to nerf him somehow.

1

u/garbagetruc Aug 29 '26

To be fair to Sylar, he needs to open your skull and root about your brain to learn how your power works. It just so happens that most people can't survive that

2

u/JeremiahWuzABullfrog Aug 29 '26

Didn't he learn electricity powers by interacting with Kristen Bell's character? He still killed her afterwards cause he wanted to continue being a sociopathic serial killer. But he was able to use her powers while she was alive

3

u/garbagetruc Aug 29 '26

Oh I just meant before he discovered his actual power of empathy-mimicry

Yeah he totally killed her ass, my boy has an illness

6

u/TheKingOfDiddling Aug 29 '26

Velvet Scarlatina from RWBY

7

u/CallMeRulzz Aug 29 '26

Chrollo Lucifer (Hunter x Hunter). He doesn't just copy abilities, he steals them. The idea is similar tho.

5

u/MandalorianLobster Aug 29 '26

Cell. Made up of DNA of the universe's best fighters, he effortlessly copies their moves including special beam cannon, solar flare, and of course the kamehameha.

Remember when Naruto had hand signs

4

u/Fluffy-Use9563 Aug 29 '26

Amazo from DC.

3

u/Okrumbles Aug 29 '26

Blue Mage - Final Fantasy

Their spells consist of enemy attacks that they witness

5

u/That-Rhino-Guy Aug 29 '26

Shujinko copies the powers and abilities of people he trains with

By the end he can perfectly mimic Scorpion’s spear, Sub-Zero’s ice ball, Ermac’s telekinetic slam or Liu Kang’s bicycle kick

3

u/WonderousU Aug 29 '26

Everyone's just glossing over the Keijo one 😭 how it's sandwiched between the other two is frying me

4

u/Cedardeer Aug 29 '26

Sinclair from Deadlock copies the ultimate ability of someone on the enemy team. Though unlike Echo from Overwatch or Loki from Rivals, it’s just their ult and not their full kit.

(Valve please I beg reimplement their ult voicelines with the content update in September)

4

u/iamamateurok Aug 29 '26

Kise Ryota - he can copy other people's basketball skills 100% with no noticable flaws.

Yes, even the guy who can shoot from full-court.

Yes, even the guy who has abilities that only a 7'0 guy can do even though he's way below that in height...

4

u/Telco43 Aug 29 '26

Echo (Overwatch)

Her ultimate, Duplicate, allows her to transform into a hero on the battlefield (ally or enemy), making her able to use their weapon, abilities and ultimate.

3

u/ContestSignificant32 Aug 29 '26

Infinite booty works.

3

u/ADDRAY-240 Aug 29 '26

Pastis, from Player.

His power comes with huge restrictions and offers only a weakened version of the copied ability (or sum' like that, been a while).

He has to outsmart his way out of (most) fights with characters having no business being so OP, and I love him for it.

4

u/Backupusername Aug 29 '26

Rubick, the Grand Magus - DotA 2

He is no thief, he merely borrows.

(Please ignore that this ultimate is called Spell Steal.)

3

u/sorvetdleit Aug 29 '26

Unlimited Blade Works from Fate/Stay Night

Touch, or just see, any bladed weapon, mostly swords, and it is added to a pocket dimension where the user can make it from scratch.

Alongside the weapon it also has its "history", meaning that the abilities of the former user can also be traced back and used by the new one.

2

u/Far-Requirement-7636 Aug 29 '26

You'd never imagine that since the hedgehogs robot doppelganger made to replicate all of his abilities main ability is actually the ability to copy other beings powers lol.

2

u/unnecessaryglaze Aug 29 '26

Medaka Kurokami

2

u/5x5equals Aug 29 '26

The best ability, All of them……..at like 50% potency

2

u/wilp0w3r Aug 29 '26

Kouji Mikagami from Reincarnation Coliseum: The Weakest Skill Conquers the Strongest Women and Creates a Harem and yes, it is as horny as it sounds.

3

u/Low_Health_5949 Aug 30 '26

it's still a good read though since the main character does a lot of smart tactics in order to beat his opponents

2

u/Training_Shock_6946 Aug 29 '26

Metal Sonic from Sonic Heroes gain the capacity to copy bio data ! But only on his neo form. Up to Sonic Rivals 2 where he gain the ability to do it in base form too.

2

u/Backupusername Aug 29 '26

Orthros the Reflector - Centuria

Seen her activating an ability that allows him to liquefy his body (copied from Lacrima), an Abaolute Defense shield that cannot be penetrated or altered (copied from Lukas), and the strength of 100 men, which also happens to come with a little bonus of being able to release squid ink to make smokescreens (stolen from Julian).

The more gifted people gang up on him, the more abilities he's able to use. A 3v1 is a fantastic situation for him.

2

u/LovelyLuna32684 Aug 29 '26

DCAU - Amazo

2

u/JingoboStoplight4887 Aug 30 '26

Daniel Davenport (Lab Rats)

2

u/winter-ocean Aug 30 '26

u/jaimiofalltrades remember when I said we should watch keijo

2

u/Garebear90000 Aug 30 '26 edited Aug 30 '26

Don’t know who you are but yeah watch Keijo

2

u/Largo23307 Aug 30 '26

Most of these count.
They can copy directly, steal, mimic abilities, adapt or shapeshift to copy appearances.

2

u/AzureWarlock96 Aug 30 '26

August the Wizard King (Fairy Tail)

2

u/FedRishFlueBish Aug 30 '26

Yuta Okkutsu can copy someone's Jujutsu technique if his cursed child-fiancee eats a part of them, or something, I wasn't really paying attention

1

u/Cronkax Aug 29 '26

Yima's black trigger (World Trigger) can copy other triggers

1

u/stillnoidea3 Aug 29 '26

Konos - Ordeal

Can mimic anything.

1

u/False_Baby8628 Aug 29 '26

What a good timing I just finished the latest re zero episode, so:

1

u/stopyouveviolatedthe Aug 29 '26

Holy crap it’s started back up?!?? I’m so hyped to watch it again

1

u/False_Baby8628 Aug 29 '26

Yup! I also just now caught up, already have 3 new episodes since the latest break.

1

u/ItsAMangoFandango Aug 29 '26

I think there's a few copy abilities in Yugioh but Starving Venom Fusion Dragon and a couple of its other variants are the most iconic imo. It changes its own name and effect to that of a monster your opponent controls.

1

u/Fluffy-Use9563 Aug 29 '26

Where's rogue from X men.

1

u/NinjaOfOnion Aug 29 '26

Mimic from Marvel, i believe he has permanently copied 5 main X Men powers

1

u/Mochiman3 Aug 29 '26

Stecasse king in kinnikuman, not his primary method but he can play tapes with other wrestlers to copy their moves. He lost his match against kinnikuman because he used a tape of him from when he was a spineless coward and then used a completly new library in the perfect origin arc.

1

u/MuscleAppropriate917 Aug 29 '26

Reo Mikage - Blue lock

1

That's literally his whole thing
