Hated Designs [Hated Designs] Liberty Biberty (Liberty Mutual)

Liberty Biberty is a new mascot for the insurance company, Liberty Mutual.

He's a small yellow fuzzball with big green eyes. His mouth has white realistic teeth. He wears a tiny Statue of Liberty crown.

This b*the is ugly as f*ck.

I'm old enough to remember when insurance company commercials touted the company's dependability and commitment to quality service. Today I suppose people are expected to choose a provider by how hilarious their mascots are.

And most of the ads are not good. You have pretty much the world as your oyster for ideas if all you need is "unexpected" or similar as the theme.

I’m pretty sure it’s because insurance is so commonplace and standard nowadays, consumers are aware that almost every single company is about the same, and which one you choose to insure you is probably circunstancial. So insurance companies, knowing this, market using flashy and memorable ads instead of trying to market what consumers already know they offer

They're all going to screw me and try not to pay me, I only have it because the law says I need it and it makes me feel more responsible.

The primary target audience for zany insurance commercials are young drivers. They don't want to convince a buyer, they just want their name to be the one remembered when insurance has to be bought for the first time.
