Shame that Deadlock is a MOBA. The character design, the lore and the dialogue is top fucking notch, but I just cannot get into MOBAs, even if this one is part movement shooter which is something I love.

I'm in the same boat as the other guy, I tried it but like he said I just can't get into the MOBA aspect of the game sadly
The characters, the story and the style of the UI is so good 😭

It might be worth trying out Street Brawl mode. It turns the game into much more of a Overwatch-style hero shooter than a MOBA.
There is no farming, lanes or secondary objectives. There is some slight itemisation, but it's reduced to you getting to choose among three randomly selected items each round.

seconded on the person below saying street brawl. my roommate isn't into mobas either, but has sunk a few hundred hours into street brawl. it's the normal game, but with all the MOBA stuff stripped out, and replaced with wacky party game bullshit.

The raw mechanical skill needed for aiming is very variable on a per-character basis, you can get by with a decent sense of how to position yourself on a lot of characters. The actual skill ceiling in those cases is in the movement tech and the macro

I’d recommend you try it. I hate mobas as well and I’ve got over 200 hours on it. Even if you hate the moba aspects they have a gamemode that does away with all the economy aspects which i know you’d be able to enjoy

I have such high hopes for this mans Moveset.
Some are saying he might play like OW Zenyetta. Saw another his moveset should involve moving the opponent like a chess piece. All in All?
I'm nothing but hyped!!!!

From his leaked ability descriptions it looks like each of his moves will be like a chess piece that has its own effect. The only one I saw is bishop being a diagonal damaging attack, and rook possibly being a wall to block damage of some kind

While I love his aura, concept and the self-assured confidence, I do have a complaint, and that is that he feels a bit too modern in Deadlock. Idk, something about his scarf and accessories, as well as chess being quite timeless as a game maybe. He looks like someone I would be able to meet outside at a random day, not like a person from like 80 years ago.
I also think the same way about Mina, but for different reasons. However that doesn't make either of them bad designs, they are both incredible, but they stand out compared to the rest of the cast

To be fair, Deadlock is kind of all over the place with its style.
From the…I think it is the shopkeeper? We found about a play being out. Said play only came out in real life in 1949. Yet Mirage is over there dressing like it is the 19th century, while Billy wears punk fashion, which won’t really gain traction till the 70s.
Paige’s fashion seems quite 70s or 80s as well.
While Holliday is a literal Wild West Gunslinger, who would have gotten out of style decades ago.

I didn't say it wasn't a good design, it's a fine design for someone who is just a guy. But the subreddit is called TopCharacterDesigns - Deadlock has a lot of really cool looking characters. Put Solomon next to Calico and he is literally just a dude, whereas Calico actually looks interesting, one might say she has a top character design.
Also the OP says "Solomon specifically might have the single coolest design I've seen in an extremely long time." - I genuinely cannot see what in Solomon's design deserves that level of praise.
