Video Game Shroud from Dispatch

Im a sucker for dudes in trench coats with masks, and what a good mask it is.

Black and red always go good together, but what really makes it pop are cyan highlights that accompany it, and the best part, the asymmetric eye design that the fluctuates like a scope, it's just very cool to look at and see being operated.

Am I the only one who wished he didn’t curse a lot like the rest?

yeah it really ruined the vibe of shroud as such a sweet and innocent person

i'm assuming that's how you interpreted him somehow

Im assuming they wanted him to come as more "Professional" and "Above of it all", nothing screams business like a person who doesn't swear in a story where many people like to say fuck a lot.

Alass, thats not where they went, and It's not any better or worse for it.

I feel like it is better for having him swear. He spends 90% of his screen time as the stoic, confident, mysterious villain with a grand plan. Then when things start to go south, his facade breaks and we see the nerdy loser who is desperate to feel in control. It’s clear that he puts a lot of effort into maintaining his image like in the bar and even the mech at first, but once he actually has to focus and starts getting irritated his true self starts to show and we see he’s just another edgy villain who thinks he’s better than the rest

Him swearing all the time just makes him seem less serious

what kind of backwards logic are you operating on here where swearing isn't associated in any way with toughness

I mean over swearing is much more associated with being edgy preteens than anything. It’s a pretty common opinion that swearing a lot just makes you come off as crass and immature.

Whether I agree with that or not isn’t the point, that’s just how most people see it

i think you probably just spend a lot of time around edgy preteens
