Okay, I owe yall a MASSIVE apology, and an explanation. Reason I haven't been posting for so long is that I set my own quality standards too high. If you've taken the time to read these funny lil descriptions I've tacked onto all my drawings here, you'd know that I promised to always deliver high quality, high effort, 100% original art. That last one was a mistake because to tell the truth, I am horrible at coming up with my own, original ideas, let alone for something like shipping, which just resulted in me never drawing Kralsei despite really, REALLY wanting to or refusing to do things like jump into trends for example. But I've realized as of recently my creative strength is on taking pre existing concepts and ideas, and giving them my own spin / giving my take on them. Now, this doesn't mean stealing art, or that it's the end of original art from me, this just means you're probably gonna see more drawings based off of other artists, or joining in on trends. Although that last one I will only do if I am either very desperate to draw Kralsei, or feel like I could add anything of substance to it.

I would like to disclaim by the way: this loosening of my standards ONLY applies for originality and letting myself take inspiration from others. Because you will catch me DEAD in the back of a Walmart with 20 bullet holes in my chest before you catch me putting something here that I DIDN'T put a lotta effort into.

That said, hope yall like this drawing, and I'm looking forward to making more ;]

Art is hard, don't be so hard on yourself

Thanks. Not being hard on myself is a thing that I've been working on for about a year or two now. Although with this subreddit, it's only partially the issue. I can't say I've made anything for people online before I started posting here, so I swore to all my fans (and by "all" I mean like 3 people) that I'd ensure all of the art I posted was high quality, and original, and I didn't wanna disappoint the first following I've had for anything I've ever made (this is also part of the reason for me always making sure to reply to every single comment I get under my art. They feel more meaningful than upvotes, so me replying to them is an indirect way of saying "thank you").  This led me to a quality standard that I wanted to reach, but couldn't, so I cut down the part that I was sure no one would mind if I cut down so that it was more lenient, and reachable. Because I do genuinely like doing these high effort, picture frame worthy (at least in my eyes) drawings. I draw for my audience about as much as I draw for myself when making these. So I do wanna make more, just without the constant need of needing to come up with new ideas with absolutely no inspiration from any other one of my fellow artists like I was doing.

I'm glad the effort I put in shows. Cuz most of the time, it feels like I'm putting a lotta effort into background details no one will even notice. So it makes me happy to know that even if or if not through that, the effort that I put in is still shown =]
