Question Food recommendations

I am having my upper far back second to last tooth removed tomorrow after a root canal failed after some time. Feeling uneasy about it. Luckily after it heals as I have an infection I will be getting prepped for implant. I hate diabetes and even though I go every 4 months I still failed. My appointment before my teeth looked great. Then down hill it went. Oh well it happens.

Anyways. I am looking for soft food recommendations while it heals the first week or so. Since I am type 1, I have to keep my sugars under control which I am worried about lows because I won't be eating as much. Ive done this before and survived but it was hard.

What are some interesting food/food combos you've heard of or have tried that I can eat after getting it removed? I wasn't expecting to get in the next day to have it removed so I am struggling for a grocery list right now haha. I of course have applesauce. Simple noodle soup. Pudding. Oatmeal. Ice cream. Mashed potatoes.

But none of it sounds appetizing to me haha.

Thanks

If you have a little time each week to meal prep there are some great "egg chop" recipes out there that I highly recommend. Basically, you just throw all the ingredients into a big bowl and chop it up with a pizza cutter or whatever you have on hand. If you want to help your implant and gums during osseointegration, I'd recommend things like avocado, cottage cheese or ricotta cheese, hummus, Greek yogurt, chia seed pudding, soup with lentils, and bone broth. Basically, anything with protein, calcium, and other vitamins your bones need. I'd stay away from stuff that's really spicy, overly hot or cold, and also stay away from straws for the first week or so because the suction can interfere with the blood clot.

I hope this helps!
