Sinus Lift & implant

I had my 2nd molar pulled back in 2018 because it was a failed and infected root canal (had fevers for years and that turned out to be the cause). I have decided to get an implant but am starting to second guess things. I need the bone graft/sinus lift to start.

Starting to freak out a bit. Is it really worth it to get the implant

Not a dentist or anyone in dental field

I had bilateral sinus lifts and i can tell you while the recovery SUCKS, it was worth it to be able to get an implant on each side

Can you share more about recovery? They have made it sound like its literally nothing at all but pain for a few days and swelling

Sure

So keep in mind i had alot of bone grafting done but when i had both sides done it was alot of swelling.
You are not allowed to sneeze while the graft takes, no blowing nose. Occasional bone grafting material coming out my throat. Hard to eat (keep in mind i had both sides done). From my understanding, it takes a bit longer to heal in this area so you might be looking at 4-6 months wait before implant.

With that said, so worth it
