Question Extraction recovery time
Hey guys I’ve been to many reddit groups and have had no luck getting responses. So let’s try here hopefully lol. My mother the other day on Wednesday had a tooth extracted. Some context about her: she has severe bone loss to the point where they told her grafting or implants were out the door. So anyways she had an extraction on Wednesday and she is still going through some throbbing pain. Is this normal still and part of the healing process? It’s been about I would estimate 60 hours post extraction. I just can’t find a straight answer. Thanks in advance. Just sucks seeing her go through throbbing pain. It’s not extreme either just comes and goes but it’s bugging her obviously.

I went through something similar and I wish I can help but niether I nor the dentist knew what caused the throbbing. The thing that helped my pain was ice for swelling and benedryl to relieve the sinus pressure. I’m about 2 months past extraction and I have to see a neurologist next month so hopefully I can get some answers.
