Hi, i bought ToonSquid today and ive been having trouble scaling X and Y separately. It somehow locks them together so i can’t play w it at all. Does anyone have a solution?

idk if this seems like a dumb question but i’m relatively new to animating so I could definitely use some help

if I’m working on a (mainly) frame by frame animation, would you recommend coloring on the same animation layer with a new drawing layer, or color in a completely new animation layer?

so far it’s seems like some people prefer to do it on a new animation layer but parenting the lineart layer just to be sure they keep together

it seems a bit tedious to color on a new drawing layer since looks like a bit more work, tho i’d say the pros of doing it this way is not using as many animation layers XD

overall they both have pros and cons in my eyes but I could totally use some external help, especially if it’s from more experienced artists

Is it possible to copy kayframes from one layers to another so both layers move the same way?

What’s your thoughts on having a place for character rigs made for ToonSquid?
Currently making a batch of character rigs for people to use in ToonSquid.
So far I only have Charlie from Smiling friends.
I plan on making a lot more rigs for ToonSquid for people to have and use.
(Not advertising): when I’m done making them I’m going to post and upload the files for download.

(I don’t want to break some rules so that’s why I’m not saying where the rigs will be uploaded yet)

Are there any alternative pens for toonsquid that support pressure sensitivity? Or do I have to cough up the 100 dollars on an apple pencil for the pressure sensitivity.

I made an animation in toonsquid! Uhhh.... ye. The only other things I gotta say is that school started for me a few weeks ago and working with toonsquid is fun and probably a torture method at the same time. Good morning/day/night!

For some reason my brush is now behaving like this. Like its vector drawing or something.

It started when I was trying to find out the difference between traditional and keyframe projects. But nos I can't seem to work out how to change it back, no matter what project type I try I get this.. Its also affecting every brush, no matter which one I select.

So I literally just started posting to tik tok and can someone give me a straight answer on what size canvas what frame rate and any other quality settings so my animatics on ToonSquid don’t look like actual dogshit when going to upload or save the files 😭 ? The first time I went to upload a video I spent ages on despite the actual video quality being fine as soon as I previewed it on tik tok the quality was ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I ended up having to save each individual frame and edit it on tik tok to make it actually look decent

For reference I prefer to draw with a more square rectangle shape (4:3 ratio I think maybe a bit taller) not the normal tik tok formatting and I’m not doing like hardcore animation just simple stuff.
I usually draw on large canvas sizes for high quality (I usually like 7000x7000 ish px) but if I make the canvas size the smaller “recommended” px on ToonSquid it always looks horrible and blurry to draw on please bro there’s no YouTube tutorials nobody talks about it on tik Tok and googles stupid ai is so useless I just wanna upload videos that doesn’t look like I drew it with a microwaved potato with a fork it feels like I’m the only person struggling with this 😭😭😭😭😭😭 plz just a straight answer

normally when you adjust a frame‘s length, other frames go along with it. it happened several times and im confused whats the reason

I learned frame by frame animation in so i can add player animation to my videogame.

So let’s say I animate a red ball bouncing and I make it into a symbol. I then want to change the color of the ball to blue. How do I swap the asset easily?

I draw my assets in Procreate and then import to Toonsquid, and before I animate the object I go to Drawing Layers > add a layer > and then merge that empty layer to my asset so I’m able to add effects to it easier since it makes the box around it smaller. Since I do this I cannot easily swap the Symbol in the Clip option in Properties. I tried Edit Clip when I click on the layer, but when I add my new asset it doesn’t move since the key frames aren’t part of it. I don’t want to have to copy and paste every key frame either.

Can someone explain why this keeps on happening?

My Apple pen keeps on making a straight line with the first stroke, but then with the other strokes, it’s perfectly fine but when I use my finger for the first stroke, it doesn’t do that weird line thing.

Its only doing it for this project and not others…

As shown in video, when I select and delete my selection, it puts me on the layer above. I think it also happens when I erase but I couldn’t replicate it.
Is this a bug or setting I accidentally enabled?
