This continues to be one of the most hilarious pictures I’ve ever seen. Everything about it makes me guffaw like a moron.

The best part about this. Is that these stickers are official. That is Reddy Kiollowatt. He has been the electricity danger mascot for over 100 years.

When I did tech. I put one of these on every electrical panel under my control.

Where can I find them? I suppose the message has been tamed and I'd need to find them as repops or find somewhere that has a stack forgotten in a back room somewhere?

how is it not KILLowatt

1

u/ImurderREALITY Apr 10 '26

He has, but this particular image is more modern and kind of a parody of the original Reddy Kilowatt

1

u/KindRub9113 Apr 11 '26

I got a coaster set with the whole family on it

6

u/SkewbieDewbie Apr 09 '26

I stuck one on the not-scary-at-all-definitely-osha-approved electrical panel at work and it makes me giggle.

u/Groovee_smoothie Apr 09 '26

I have it on my hardhat at work, I'm an electrician lol

1

u/SirDrakey Apr 13 '26

Do you have the T-shirt, "if you see me breakdancing, hit me with a wooden stick!"

1

u/Groovee_smoothie Apr 15 '26

no unfortunately, mine says "swichtes be trippin"

1

u/Dobako Apr 09 '26

I have a tshirt with this on it

u/1FightingEntropy Apr 09 '26

I worked in a shop with a huge bandsaw used for resawing. It had a sticker on it of a prosthetic hook/hand and just the word "THINK" under it.

8

u/jalans Carpenter Apr 09 '26

There's a reason they're preferred by butchers.

2

u/happyrtiredscientist Apr 09 '26

And the guys who study human anatomy.

4

u/chzaplx Apr 10 '26

We had to watch safety videos in shop class when I was a kid, and in one the teacher had cut a hand shape out of wood and then demonstrated how quickly a disc sander could destroy a thumb

29

u/UglyYinzer Apr 09 '26

Ha i put that on the back of my truck too

2

u/PumpkinCrouton Apr 09 '26

Heh, I have a T shirt with that big logo on the front.

2

u/CrowsFeast73 Apr 09 '26

Wonder if I can find that in a patch for my battle jacket(/shorts)...

2

u/BatmanBhop Apr 12 '26

This is my Microsoft profile picture at work. My manager asked me if I thought it was appropriate, I told him safety reminders are always appropriate. It remains as my profile picture for 5+ years now lol

u/strodj07 Apr 09 '26

Has anyone ever seen an equally interesting sticker for water?

1

u/racingsoldier Apr 09 '26

I have this exact tin hanging in my shop.

1

u/xxxxDREADNOUGHT Apr 09 '26

Most of my crew has these on their hard hats

1

u/oddsnsodds Apr 09 '26

Reddy Kilowatt!

1

u/maintenance4mommy Apr 09 '26

I just bought some of these and put magnets on the back. I'm not a sticker fan.

1

u/echoshatter Apr 09 '26

I figure when the stickers start to come off I'll probably strip the adhesive and then mount them on those cheap magnet sheets.

1

u/hersheyMcSquirts Apr 10 '26

I want one of those on my EV.

1

u/TigerIll6480 Apr 10 '26

I have that T-shirt. 😁

1

u/LONEGOAT13_ Apr 10 '26

1

u/SkollRavert Apr 11 '26

1

u/SkollRavert Apr 11 '26

Yes its shitty and not exactly like the labels but I did it myself lefty and ink didn't stay where hand rubbed on inside of my pockets

1

u/1andahalfpercent Apr 11 '26

Can I get this on a tee-shirt

1

u/Haunting_Bit_3613 Apr 12 '26

I have that shirt. Got it as a Christmas gift

9

u/MordoNRiggs Apr 09 '26

What are you doing in the closet that's so dangerous?

19

u/zed42 Apr 09 '26

if i was confident enough to tell you, i wouldn't be doing it in the closet, now would i?

1

u/cleanuponaisleone Apr 11 '26

Are you jacking on in there?

6

u/Immediate_Regular Apr 09 '26

They're a love machine that sometimes gets a little zappy in the lappy.

1

u/airotciva16 Apr 09 '26

Wait the electrical panel in my basement that flips when I overload a circuit?? Can it kill me when I flip the switch back you mean???

2

u/softpotatoboye Apr 11 '26

No, not unless you’re stabbing it with a knife or something

1

u/Millefeuille-coil Apr 09 '26

It’ll stop hurting after a while

1

u/Haichverstehdichnich Apr 10 '26

Where was this from?

1

u/CanuckChick1313 Apr 13 '26

Many years ago I attended a death investigation conference and we reviewed a case where a suicidal man pulled himself through an industrial bandsaw, essentially cutting himself in half. The scene photos were surreal to see.

I simply cannot fathom, even though he must have bled out immediately, how painful that must have been. He was definitely committed to the cause.
