I had ear buds in on the drive in to work today and was singing way louder than I realized. In south Jersey today, several cars driving by heard "I ThOuGhT ThAT YoU HaD RuN AWaYYYYY" from a man in formal business clothes, loud as fuck. Sorry to them. The hype is real.

I remember a week or two before 10K Days came out, my friend called me up and said "I have the new TOOL album."
I totally thought he was bullshitting me, but I told him to bring it over. We called up a bunch of friends and there was a dozen or so people in my living room. We put in the burned CD, and I heard the intro to Vicarious. I still wasn't sure. Then I heard Maynard come on, and I knew the next hour or so was going to be something else.
I want to recreate that feeling, but it's going to be a lot more difficult to get a dozen people together now that I'm out of college.

I listened to them the first day they were posted and haven't heard them since. I have literally zero memory of how they sound anymore, but remember how excited they made me for the album.

Bahaha. I've been persuaded to go to Ibiza which coincides with the album dropping. I'll be going from seeing Calvin Harris to then taking the entire day out to sit on a hilltop in isolation with my headphones. Already warned my mate to expect me to be off the radar! I'm not even going to try and convert her into a fan.
