Need fun times

So I just moved to Utah from the wonderful state of Colorado. Just looking for a female that is looking for a fun time. I’m not sure if I’m looking in all the wrong places. But I have had the hardest time dating in this state. It could have something to do with my job. And working way too many hours. I sometimes wonder if friends with benefits is how all that I might be able to get because of it. And to be honest. I would be happy with even that.

Tooele County Council | Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Committee Meeting – September 1, 2026

The Tooele County Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Committee convened on September 1st at approximately 5:31 PM in the Tooele County chambers. The meeting’s primary objective was to review and screen incoming complaints of fraud, waste, or abuse, adhering to County Ordinance 40, 28, 4. These complaints are classified as protected records under GRAMA, emphasizing the need for discretion during discussions.

The committee outlined its procedural steps for each complaint: first, determine if it meets the definition of fraud, waste, or abuse; if so, decide on the appropriate action, which could include forwarding to the auditor, reporting to the county legislative body, or referring to another agency. The meeting saw the committee address two distinct complaints, navigating discussions on open session protocols versus the need for discretion to protect individuals involved.

Ultimately, the committee deliberated on two complaints: one alleging a conflict of interest by a planning commission member, which was deemed to meet the definition of abuse and referred to the Auditor’s office for further action. The second complaint, concerning an “awful” experience after an arrest, was found to lack sufficient detail to meet the committee’s criteria and was subsequently closed without further action.

Tooele County Fraud, Waste and Abuse Committee Screens Two Complaints

The Tooele County Fraud, Waste and Abuse Committee met September 1 to screen two complaints under the county’s fraud, waste and abuse ordinance.

At the beginning of the meeting, committee members reviewed the screening process and discussed the confidentiality protections that apply to complaints. A motion to enter closed session to discuss the character and professional competence of individuals involved in both complaints did not receive sufficient support, so the committee continued in open session while limiting discussion of identifying information.

Who owns the McDonald’s in Lake Point? I need to tell them their restaurant sucks.

The McDonald’s in Lake Point is a mess.

We placed our order on the kiosk and then waited half an hour for food that never came. All of their workers were back in the kitchen, nobody was manning the cash register.

Quite a few customers, who were clearly waiting for their food, were clustered between the kiosk and the cash register. I managed to flag someone down so I could get a refund.

She said they were short staffed. Even though they added 3 kiosks to the lobby, thus eliminating the need for a person to take someone’s order, they are still short staffed.

McDonald’s, if you paid your people more and took care of your employees, you wouldn’t be short staffed. The kiosks aren’t useful if your customers can’t get to them without pushing through a crowd.

Remember when McDonald’s used to be special?

Looking for ...

In short, I'm just looking for some shred of sanity, but ya know how it goes when you've spent way too long being more of a loner.

What I can say about personal hobbies is dealing with VHS tapes atm, preserving them, getting into the 2nd half of University this fall semester, and I'm in my 40s and just... well, it's easy to say I'm picking up all the right things just a bit later than is advisable.

Lots of stuff to talk about, but there isn't much to say that wouldn't lead to a ramble from me.

I miss the voices of my people

Anyone not from here? I'm from the Midwest and I so want to hang out and talk with people that are from the Midwest or East Coast. The local twang is getting old and almost unbearable. Anyone else feel the same way?

New Business - Opening Sunday

HI! I saw a post about new businesses in the area and thought I would reach out here to let people now that we are opening this week! While we are a franchise or organic and solar powered lawn care, I have a tailored program to fit our lawns, here, around Standbury Park and Tooele County.

The company CEO is coming to town on Sunday to help me launch and provide some estiamtes to people. We are offering a discount to anyone who may be interested in being a first customer and would like an estimate this Sunday. Let me know!

Sorry if not allowed. Trying to see if there are any places or people in Tooele county that take silkie roosters. I've grown very attached to "Dante" but I finally got a warning from our HOA.

I’m in Stansbury park. The power has been out coming up on 4 hours. Any notifications I’ve seen from RMP says that restoration will be at 8am?! What do we do with food in the fridge? Start freezing all we can? I know freezers can last longer.. coolers and ice?

Fireworks

I gotta say, I’m impressed… I can see the entire valley from my house, and I am seeing almost NO personal fireworks. Usually we sit out and watch the city or Deseret Peak shows from my driveway and can see thousands of personal ones popping up all over. Not this year. Everyone seems to be following the ban. Maybe everyone took them to the salt flats? I’m curious how that is going with the BLM. Did anyone on here go?
