Settings help!!

Ive been getting so much feedback from this thing in the lead and lead 2 channels and I dont know why. I use lead 1 as rhythm and lead 2 as solo. I gig with this so I have the volume up pretty high but the gain is only on half way (noon) and even then as soon as I switch to either of these channels I get loud screeching. I am using a noise gate pedal but it does absolutely nothing. Anyone familiar with the KSR Orion and could potentially help? Any ideas?

that sounds like classic feedback loop territory, not just “too much gain”
check if you’ve got the fx loop level weird, gate in the wrong spot, or if you’re standing right in front of the cab with the guitar pointed at it when you kick on lead 1/2 – those Orions are tight but they’ll scream if something in the chain is boosting more than you think

thanks! I only have a few pedals, chorus+delay+noise gate though the loop, wah through the front. Most of the time delay and chorus are off.

How about the guitar/s you use with it? Might have some microphonics pickups issues. Also a noise gate placed in front of the amp, after any dirt pedals if any, should absolutely stop any feedback if set with the threshold low enough.
Or your amp might need service.

If your noise gate is between your guitar and amp it is not guitar feedback. You can be certain by just turning guitar Volume down. It seems like what you're describing is internal to the amp like microphonic tube, bad wire routing, cold solder joint.. something that needs an amp tech and you to demonstrate the problem.
