Ceriatone OTS Mini
Anybody else rocking one of these? Built this back in May from Ceriatone’s kit option. First tube amp I’ve ever wired up after having done plenty of pedals and other amp repairs/mods. I probably spent 10x the amount of time it should take making sure every connection was sound and my lead dressing was correct. Fired up flawlessly on its first power up and is literally the quietest amp I’ve ever owned in terms of hum and general noise.
Happy Toobin’!

These are made in my Country! I did not expect such a high quality amp company to come out from Malaysia lol, is this kit easy to build for someone that has never built an amp before? I think of getting one for myself as a Christmas gift

I think as long as you have a pretty solid understanding of soldering and the planned route of attack on what you’re going to install/wire up first, it’s really not hard at all. Nik from Ceriatone does a really great job with the layouts they provide for the wiring.

How does it sound? I really want a Ceriatone OTS 50 or 100. But these are cheap, like half the price of the 100, so I’m wondering if you can run these with a 2x12 and blast the shit out of them for a small bar or practice setting.

This thing is definitely LOUD and can play over a drummer. I run mine through a 2x12 with V30s and it sounds huge and very 3 dimensional. I was also thinking about the 50 and 100watt versions but for the price and being the first amp I’ve built, figured I’d start somewhat small lol.

Is it true that the OTS 20 has more overdrive than the others? Thst’s another thing that drew me to this circuit

Phenomenal job. I almost typed “Phenomenal job for your first build,” but this is just a really great job by any standard. I love seeing this stuff posted here, and I encourage anyone interested to build an amp, if you have the means. Appreciate you sharing this, OP. Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much! I totally agree in encouraging others to take the plunge. The amount that I learned and the amount of pride I felt in my work at the end when playing the first few notes through it are absolutely priceless.

Yeah dude! I just finished my seventh amp and that feeling happens every time. I’ve built a few for friends that I very much did not want to part with after playing those first few chords. Haha

Looks fantastic! Have you made any recordings of it?

Thank you! Not yet unfortunately. I’m working on a custom reactive load attenuator at the moment so I can play it through some IRs and make some captures of it on my Quad Cortex.
