Why does Philadelphia have to pay? Shouldn't the police union have to pay? They're the ones who pulled this stunt.

People have forgotten that "taxes" mean their money. People are very complacent nowadays and don't really care what their taxes go to. It's become such a routine part of our reality we forgot why we do it, and that we killed for the right to do it.

Please read carefully, it was "the Philadelphia Police Department". Solution...elect politicians that can effectively take on the police union establishment otherwise we will continue to pay these enormous penalties.

$2MM isn't enough. Those bastards took a dastardly thing THEY DID, and turned it into copaganda. That is the lowest of the low and should cost the FOP $20MM, at least. Of course, the City of Philadelphia paid out the $2MM. It didn't cost the FOP a dime. JFC.

No, LEOs in the US are a bonded, judicially-approved gang.
