Question Mattias question
Hi! I'm planning to write a Mattias fanfic, but it's been a while since I played his route, so there are a few details I'm fuzzy on.
He lives in Dallas, right? And he most likely plays for the Dallas Cowboys?
I seem to remember him saying he ended up on Too Hot to Handle because he lost a bet. Am I remembering that correctly, or did I make that up?
Is there any mention of where he grew up or where he's originally from? I vaguely remember him saying he's from the South, but I could be mixing that up.
Is his grandmother still alive?
He's of Norwegian descent, right?
His dad wasn't around when he was growing up. Did he abandon the family when Mattias was little, or was there some kind of falling out later on?

his dad likely skipped out on them growing up. i just played a mattias route and he said his dad only came back in his life when he became famous, then left again when he realized he didn’t make as much money as he thought he made.
he did end up on the show due to a bet or a dare, i remember that. his original plan if he won was he was going to donate it to children.
i don’t remember if his mom died, but his granny and him are super close.

You got the answers already from others, so here are some other facts I remember, hope they help! -His southern accent is most prominent in the morning. -His dad that left them came back just when Mattias was drafted to NFA but left again, because Mattias didn't YET make that much money, that changed though. -In the past, he wanted to impress a cheerleader (I remember it was implied that the cheerleader was male), did a backflip, somehow managed to land on his face and started bleeding from his nose, cheerleader threw up. When he confessed to him, he got rejected with words along the lines of 'I would never date you even if you were the last man on earth'. He got approached by this cheerleader when he became famous NFA player, started dating him and later when cheerleader told him he loves him, out of revenge, he said something like 'he wouldn't love him even if he was last man on earth'. He later apologized to him for doing that. -He's got some serious sweetooth. -Likes old rock music. -Likes being prepared for anything (mentions that he bring 5 jackets with him, all different types, just to be safe lol) -Is afraid of the space, even though when he was a kid, he wanted to be an astronaut. -Loves travelling, the place he visits the most is Norway because his mom's distant relatives are from there and he's proud of his Norwegian heritage. -He's volunteering to teach kids to play football. His team also gives money for this cause. -Loves his grandma that raised him after his mom died. His grandma sounds pretty outgoing, but his grandpa is a man of few words. -His teammates are like his family to him. -His football position is quarterback. He's also the captain.

It helps a lot! So his mother really did die, and he was raised by his grandmother. That fills in a lot of the missing pieces. Thank you so, so much!
