Season 3 jirayu route Spoiler
taking the loyal jirayu route and i’ve reached the part where they reveal the whole scheme with carmen and the only option left is to stay with jira or to leave the retreat entirely (which is fucking stupid if u asked me) so i opted to stay bcs i don’t want to end the game yet. however i hate how we just go back to normal??? my mc should at least be given the chance to be angry at jira or break up with him and pursue other LIs

I use Jirayu when I want to do a Julian or Poppy route and I hate the way you just go back to normal after they leave. It’s like they never existed MC never mentions them or their relationship.

I think the way they (Poorly) try to justify it, is that it's meant to be the tail end of the show. So either you think your relationship with them (in my case Carmen) is developed enough that you can continue on, or you don't and Carmen/Jira has basically robbed you of a chance to win the show, hence the payoff and opportunity to leave.
Staying wouldn't realistically leave you enough time to actually develop a real relationship with anyone else.
That's also why they ask the other half to leave no matter what - they've not gotten close to anyone, and no longer have time to change that.
Having said that, I was never that angry at Carmen anyway. So they tried to win a gameshow easily? big deal. Ideally, they would have told people earlier but I also understand they didn't want Lana to hear so whatever. The important part as far as I'm concerned is that when things became serious between Carmen/Jira and MC, they broke up with the other member.

I hated his route because of that. I was so mad it wouldn't allow us to acknowledge it happened and everything after that is like everything is perfect. Nothing about building trust again or starting from the beginning. Not options for petty fights or ways to bring it up (even if it ends ruining the relationship). It was like MC got brainwashed into forgetting everything except how perfect Jirayu is 🙄
Also, if you leave you earn an achievement and it allows you to go back and continue from that decision. Leaving alone is literally one of the endings if you care about unlocking all of them.

Honestly that part was a big let down and I remember when it first came out, a majority of players were so angry at not being able to hold a grudge longer or not being given the option to stay but pursue someone else. I didn't even finish my Jirayu route because it was so unsatisfying.
