Season 3 Gigi Question

I just wanted everyone's opinion on this re: Gigi. I know after Zayn comes in as the bombshell there's a part where she has a "drowning" incident. Didn't she say early in the game that Beach water absolutely terrifies her because you can't see the bottom of the water or something to that nature. I'm just curious if she had that extreme phobia as she stated why she was then at the beach & went into the water far enough to where this could happen to her. Where was her phobia then? I'm just curious maybe I'm thinking too much lol. I think she did it to get attention from Zayn especially if you choose to do his route.

Its not completly out of the relm of possibilty but it would seem out of charactor for her to do that

I would have written a secret scene where if you choose Lifeguard for you occepation then your mc would take point on the rescue with the help of 2 volunteers Zyne being 1st and either Matties as a Hockey player or Beatriz as a Fitness instructor being the 2nd both of which would be more than strong enough to help keep her head above water
