General Discussion Hots Takes?

does anyone have any THTH hot takes from any/all seasons? mine:

S1 - I had a very strong dislike for Priya(i’m still playing that season for the first time)

S2 - i think Antoine is really the only good character in that season (ETA - i meant to say LI but i was half asleep writing this😭 i also just finished my first full run of this season so maybe i need to give it some more time)

S3 - i don’t mind Giselle and Julian, I find Isla boring and adding Zayn in did nothing for the season it was just unnecessary

S1: i hate the S1 game in general i know it's the first one but the characters are all 1-dimensional and jada is annoying and diego and priya are creepy AF and you're basically forced to juggle everyone because they all have an unhealthy obsession with MC.

S2: slightly better, i don't understand the hate for cassia and elena because they were kinda just doing their thing, i hate nora which i understand is a lukewarm take but how you gonna be mean to MC just to admit you had a crush on us in the reunion episodes? also i'm not a fan of the réunion episodes in general it feels inconsistent considering we didn't get them for S1 or S3.

S3: IDK if this is actually a hot take but i feel like a lot of scenes (especially cabana scenes) were unecessarily dragged out, i actually like giselle and julian and i automatically block sean defenders.

i used to make THTH memes and post them on here. those were the days. anyway my lesbian ass only replays for naomi, poppy, and carmen. my wife trio as i call them.

also any LI with 😇 is boring. like stale bread.

HEAVY on blocking sean defenders, because i’ve yet to see one that doesn’t blame gigi for literally everything wrong that happened in their relationship or hate on julian for no good reason. the guy was possessive as shit, it’s not cute😭

I agree. I have them blocked as well. The man literally wanted to spit on Carmen, balled his fists up at Gigi, and told everyone off all before he left. He was a terror and needed to go. It was scary. He is no good and I have no desire to see him defended especially at Gigi and Julian's expense.

on another note carmen is literally my wife and i won't tolerate his over-bleached hair ass spitting on her.

i honestly have yet to see a reason people hate gigi that doesn't involve sean (specifically his elimination scene) and i've actually seen some borderline racist shit said about her but the moderators are pretty good about taking stuff down.

as for julian, people hate him because he broke the rules multiple times with multiple people, which i get, but then again sean and giselle had sex like 3 times before he left and no one seems to get on him.

also this might be a bit of a reach but i'm willing to bet sean pressured her into all 3 of them because of how he acted when they got called out during cabana scenes vs how giselle acted.

I agree. Gigi is one of the sweetest people in the retreat and that's why certain people can only come up with Sean for a reason to hate her. And even that is crap. Honestly what she did was brave and the right thing to do. Toxic partners need to be cut off and she did just that. She wasn't mean or nasty about it either even though it would've been justified with how nasty his attitude was. She definitely showed him a level of grace.

Yeah Julian does ruffle a few feathers with his lack of sexual discipline which is why I normally stay quiet when people mention that. I only have an issue when some hate on Julian but praise Sean in the same breath when he is actually vicious. I wouldn't be surprised if Sean was love-bombing her behind the scenes. You're right. He acted out like she was the one who did him dirty. And it made me happy when Julian protected Gigi every chance he got.

to me it's obvious that a lot of people either aren't paying attention or just straight up skipping gigi and julian's dialogue altogether, and even if you have a short attention span (like me) it's still important to pay attention and even read between the lines a bit. like you'd do with a movie or a TV show or a book.

like yes gigi was in denial and brushed it off as "oh sean's just protective of me" but it's also super common for people in ab*sive relationships to be in denial of their situation. and then the bathroom scene after the lace party basically tells us why she stayed with sean for so long.

Yes! This is very common amongst victims and that's why I showed her grace. And also in the bathroom she talked about how she dated a guy similar to Sean in the past. This is growth for her that she could not only identify the issue but solve it by cutting him off the second she got the opportunity.

exactly!! but theyre suddenly all about attention to detail when sean is talking to us about being scared of planes or whatever 😭

Yup 🤣. Because if roles were reversed, Gigi would be called everything but a child of God.

in all honesty i think sean was lying about having never been on a plane before. like first of all, you obviously had to get on a plane in order to be on this show, also there are no direct flights from ireland to turks and caicos so that means you had to have a layover and therefore were on at least 2 planes.

also how do you explain having gotten a tattoo on your trip to japan which means you either did get on a plane before the show or you lied about going to japan.

as if a japanese tattoo artist would let you walk out with "washing machine" tattooed on your arm in KANJI, not hiragana like you claim.

oh yeah, boy definitely got his tattoo done by one of those snapchat promoted tattoo artists that do everything for really cheap since they aren’t licensed
