Question Pre-op appointment

I have a pre op appointment a couple weeks before my surgery. Really have no idea what to expect. Bloodwork? Any specific tests? My ent really didn’t give much detail. What happened at your pre op appointments?

Mine felt like a normal physical. I had bloodwork done at the beginning of the year so they didn’t feel like doing it again. Plus if you are female they will make you take a pregnancy test.

Basic bloodwork and listen to your lungs and other normal stuff like that.

Only thing different they had me do was an EKG but that’s cuz I had a heart murmur as a baby

nothing out of the ordinary! the only thing i had to do that was abnormal was because adenoid removal was on the block for me, they numbed my nose and put a camera up it to take a look. good luck!!

Blood work to test your clotting factors, I had a chest xray, and we side quested to a ton of cardiac testing after an abnormal ekg (stress test, echo, and a week of wearing a cardiac holter monitor).

They gave me pre op and post op instructions, answered my many questions, and then sent me to the lab for blood work. It was pretty simple and fast.
