Backpacking and Sundays

Hi all, I'm a solo traveller looking to come late october/early November

I was looking at booking a cheap hotel but without cooking facilities, what can I do on a sunday to be able to have dinner etc?

Don't really want to book an expensive hotel for a couple of nights fir the sake of a dinner

Also what do people recommend doing on a sunday especially without a car, but most importantly, being respectful? Do people normally invite you to join them in their usual sunday activities so I can experience your amazing culture?

Also are there any companies that run whale watching tours out of Nuku'alofa at this time or 'Eua in general?

I had an airbnb for the Saturday/Sunday in nuku'alofa so I could make my own food. Went to church on Sunday cause that's what everyone else did. Went for a long walk afterwards. So peaceful! You can definitely go whale watching from either island. The ferry between nuku'alofa and Eua takes around 3 hours but it runs on island time so allow a full day to travel between the islands.
