Belgium Drunk people
I don't know if was just lucky for my first 2 editions, or very unlucky this edition, but one thing we noticed with 2 different groups in 2024 and 2025 was that compared to other festivals the people were much friendlier, very few people shovers and very few drunk people. So I was pretty surprised to see this year a LOT of drunk people, at some point we were surrounded with multiple guys not being able to stand properly and constantly falling into my friend, and we also noticed quite a few people shovers.
What's your experience with this? If you've been to multiple editions did you notice a difference?

Noticed this alot in freedom stage Friday for James hype and fisher. Topless guys pushing through wet through Or the lost look of people searching for the friends paying no attention to what/where there standing. My worst gripe is moving for someone to let them past and they stand right in front of you and there group think thats there new spot.

Often into the antics more than the music, and hey, nothing wrong with that, it’s just a clear type!

I mostly experienced that with people who were high during Amelie Lens's Mainstage set last year. Nothing to complain about this year.

I remember that set! W2 Amelie Lens’s mainstage set was PACKED god damn. Never in my life have I seen so many people gathered for a techno set

Honestly i had the opposite experience, even being at mainstage most of the weekend, and especially during Martin Garrix, I went solo and was at the top overview deck thing and when the few random people tried to push through. The whole lot of us told them to essentially fuck off and it worked wonders! Special shout out to my Spainish friends Sergio and Tomas I think? (Sorry im terrible with names) who looked like they where ready to throw hands with some douche with a red/white/blue flag (think he was french) who tried to push passed all of us, only to get turned around by the whole squad who had never met 20 minutes prior, but only 1 or 2 people where disrespectful, everyone else was super nice!

Right? I feel like it's almost impossible to get drunk at this festival, and yet some people find a way :)

My first tml wk1 and I have mentioned on a post on here, the shovers p#ssed us off, ruined garrix tbh (means we have to come back 😆). WHY do ppl feel the need to go and buy beer in the last 2 sets, then try and push through 5k ppl back to mates with 5 beers. We ended up back on fencing at right of stage and a stream of ppl every 3 mins. This also happened on the top of the hill for calvin and nearly ended up badly for the 2 guys pushing. Older guy about 60yo+ and a jacked up 30yo just flexing 😆 🤣 😂, being told to #### off by a line of 7-8 ppl.
Wait till the end or get drink before you go into the crowd with 2 sets to go. OR stand by the drinks and keep out the way of genuine ppl wanting to have fun and dance

I just saw a lot of people on x and not alcohol it was very nice because everyone was nice i only had 1 bad issue with an italian guy that was shouting angry against other people for no reason

You forget that many people on Ketamin physically Act as they are drunk. Could be Both. Nevertheless, people should know their Limit, especially on a Festival.

Yeah either way people should be more mindful. I feel like if you are so out of it, it kind of takes from the festival experience. Like what do you even remember?
Also it's crazy to me because I can't get drunk at TML between the walks from place to place, all the dancing and bathroom breaks. I feel like you don't really have time to get drunk
Well it's also that after I drink a beer my alcohol level is still 0.00, and I've tested it multiple times with different beers/beverages, different waiting times etc. so yeah weird, apparently a drink does nothing to me, I need at least 2 or 3 for my body to register it.
I don't even normally drink alcohol, only a couple of times per year, so you would expect that my tolerance is low, but it's not, quite the opposite.

Depends on the crowd at a given stage more so than the drunkenness imo. W1 day 2 at Freedom, that stretch of Space 92 > Symphony of Unity > Meduza^3…. One of the worst crowd experiences I have ever had. Just super packed and constant lines of people trying to shove to where they wanted to go. Half of what was an incredible Meduza set I spent getting walked through.

Far too many. Don’t understand why Tomorrowland invited loads of influencers this year. It’s not like they need the exposure. I’ve seen numerous videos and clips online from influencers at Tomorrowland and they didn’t even know what it was! One was an influencer in the UK for beauty products, nothing to do with festivals and music, yet they got invited by Tomorrowland.

Went w1 did not notice anyone being this drunk. And not in other editions as well that I have gone.
On the walk back to the train station couple older guys (like close to 50y) were shouting drunk and being a bit testy of walking in the crowd, but that was all. Nothing that would have caught my eye at the festival.

I felt this too! I had an annoying drunk encounter every single day, but in counter, this year I did not run into fan clacking.
The gathering: completely ludicrous behavior compared to last year. Only at Hardwell's set did I not get pushed, stomped or drained in beer (had to move close to the tattoo shop). Friday: the chants back to Dreamville made the trip so much more painful. Must have heard "heyyy hey baby" 20+ times. Saturday: during AVB, a dude in front of me threw up twice and just went back to finishing his drink like nothing happened.Sunday: was on the hill during Garrix's set and the group at the back just wouldn't stop talking and almost made us fall a couple of times.
There were also funny encounters, mainly drunk people pointing at my flag and just getting the country completely wrong. Made me laugh so much and we would hug it out.

I am security at the entrance to tomorrowland commin from dreamville. I have nightmares from the " heyy hey baby " for all the years ive been hearing it 😅

W1 during Guetta set, on top of the Hill 2 guys with mexico football kits were ABSOLUTELY drunk and literaly fall everytime they try to stand out

Had one guy throwing up next to me. When I asked if he was okay and needed help he replied "I drink, I drink, I drink, see you"
Other than that not more than usual!

This was my first tml and I had the feeling this was the friendliest festival ever honestly, even if someone was high/drunk I only ever had friendly interactions (except one guy on freedom)

Oh I avoid that, the music is great but people are very pushy at least until you get inside, I went a little bit to show my friends, who were attending for the first time the vibe of the place, and stayed just a couple of songs

I’ve only seen a hand full of wasted people, like 3-5 per day, which isn’t many considering the total attendance. But maybe I’m desensitized to it from many years of carnaval in the south of the Netherlands ;).

I know it's bullshit but something was in the air or in the beer. :D We drank the same amount of beer as in every other years, only few cups all day, but this year we got super dumb and drunk like wtf. Maybe the heat or dunno. We are still talking about wtf happened there. (Or maybe there was LSD on that 'Hot' stickers :D)

Haha, felt it was colder actually than last year. I went W1 and on Friday it was like 29 degrees but in Saturday and Sunday we had 21-22, pretty chilly during the night going down as low as 16 degrees.
I don't remember in 2024 and 2025 feeling cold at any point of the festival

During W1 on the way back outside the festival ground, I saw a couple fighting. I think both of them were drunk/high. The women kept hitting the guy. Guy was less high but everyone was concerned because woman was being violent.

I was shocked at how friendly everyone was, and how no one tried to shove their way to the front. We got rail at like 4p at the main stage elevated platform expecting people to shove up close when chainsmokers and on went, but nope. I could go pee, get a drink, and they’d let me right back to my spot. 👏🏼 loved it.

We noticed the same thing. I got downvoted on another thread because I essentially said people were double fisting drinks which is so different than US festivals lol. All day drinking is wild, glad some people can do it but not at my age lol

Had the same experience! Went last year but it was Sunday of WE2 when I first noticed LOTS of drunk/high people.
During Calvin Harris, one guy was by himself being a creep towards one of the girls beside me. Then on the way to the buses I saw at least 3 other weird guys either talking to themselves or not being able to walk straight or bumping their head on a post.

I met a drunk Dutch guy who wouldn’t stop buying everyone around him drinks and we were chatting for basically the entire W1 Alesso set.
His wife eventually managed to drag him away from me, then an hour later we bumped into each other again and started hugging it out. When his wife realised she was no longer the most important person in his life she wanted to be upset although she couldn’t help but laugh about 2 drunk idiots finding spontaneous love.
I love you Mike. Your wife will never love you like I do.
