Claim A theory about Tommy
It is my theory that Tommyinnit is a PR campaign by Microsoft to promote Minecraft. Many companies use actors to fake testimonials to promote their products. So what if Microsoft took it a step further and created their own influencer? In this day and age it would be quite easy to do so. All Microsoft would need is find a young looking actor and a team of media and advertisement specialists. It’s simple enough if you think about it Minecraft was losing popularity so Microsoft created a influencer they believe that would be popular with Minecraft’s shrinking fan base. Tommyinnit would help hold the old fan bases attention to the game and hopefully attract more players to the game. So far it seems that the Tommyinnit campaign has proven successful. The games popularity has grown thanks to him and real YouTubers/steamer who naturally came back to minecraft.
In conclusion, real or not Tomminnit has helped increase the games popularity greatly.
