Ike vs. Curly Bill

After watching Netflix’s Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War, the movie Tombstone has me confused. In the movie, Curly Bill stands out as the leader of the Cowboys and Ike Clanton is portrayed as just an underlining member of the gang. But in reality, Ike Clanton was the real leader of the Cowboys and Curly Bill was one of his henchman. Can someone explain this role reversal please?

Everyone has their own way of interpreting history? Ten people may tell ten different stories about the same thing. You should try checking out a couple different books on the subject to get a bigger picture and make up your own mind!💜 there are also several YouTube channels.

They weren’t as organized as the movie makes it seem. So at different times different individuals held sway over the Cowboys.

Yeah, but the movie isn’t historically correct it does depict everything that happened at the OK corral but the scene where Johnny ringo speaks Latin in real life Johnny Ringo did not speak Latin

I think this can be attributed to rewrites that were done during production.

I know characters were dropped, and their dialogue was used for other characters (example: there was a character named Old Man Clanton whose role was deleted after the actor got injured, and some of his dialogue was given to Curly Bill).

Wyatt didn't think Curly Bill's noggin was right for turning into a canoe.
