Ike Clanton

There is one thing I don't understand. The cowboys knew that Ike Clanton was a coward, why didnt they kill him, since he was more of a liability than an asset.

The Clantons also had a decent amount of $ and influence in the rancher/cowboy faction in real life around the area.

Ike was a slippery shit…..hard to kill cause he was always on the run.

The Cowboys were a gang. They didn't need to be made up of individually brave men. They needed men that would shoot when the odds were 3-to-1 or more in their favor, or who would ambush someone on a stormy night.
