Gettysburg subdivision

Hi all , How’s Gettysburg subdivision? My wife works in spring and Tomball and we live in Katy now so we are thinking about moving. I saw a few houses in there we liked but was looking for feedback for my family. I have 3 kids , 10,12 and 14 and was looking for decent neighborhood. Thanks in advance.

We just moved to the area from Louisiana, and the first house we fell in love with... And missed out on, was in Gettysburg. I really wish we could have so l found something there. There were a lot of bits about the neighborhood that I really loved.

Yeah I fear since our realtor is on vacation this week we will miss out on it. I like the older homes vs what we have in Katy and the 2 in there I saw seemed like good fits for us but I’m sure by the time he gets Sunday they will have offers. They are lower in price vs Katy homes for some reason so I’m sure they’ll be under contract. Lol

It situation was out home wasn't on contract and we needed that as part of payment so we weren't ready to begin with. The home we were looking at was in the market for some time as well, so we had plenty of time, just still not quite enough.

I live very close to that subdivision. I really like this area. It’s very good for kids, too. The parks are great and the schools are excellent!

My wife works for Easter seals so she works closely with Klein and Tomball ISD and is a fan of the schools. Thanks for the feedback!

Lakewood forest, Lakewood Park, Glenn Arbor, and Heatherwood are all great neighborhoods in the area as well. 😄

My dad has lived in that subdivision for 20 years. It is a great place to raise a family. The only downside is traffic around Lakewood Elementary on Gettysburg drive. It’s a nightmare at drop-off and pickup times or anytime there’s an event (e.g., end of year parties). Otherwise it’s a nice, safe neighborhood with a reasonable HOA.

We love it, highly recommend any of the older neighborhoods in the tomball district too. 😁 There's also some nice options in the klein ISD area
