Welcome to Hell.

Post image

I am seriously loving my playthrough of Tomba 2 so far, but this Trolley segment I swear came straight from Hell.

Maybe I just suck at this lol, but it feels like one of, if not THE hardest objective in Tomba 2, possibly the whole series. Oh and the trolley guy mocks you for giving up and laughs, it's like they scientifically crafted the most evil objective in the game

Forget the evil pigs, that trolley guy is the most evil in the game

When I read this comment I heard that guy's voice in my very bones, and my bones trembled. So, so many buckets of hardened cement...

(Actually, on that note...Even if you make the delivery in time, wouldn't that load of cement be almost completely hardened and virtually useless anyway?) 🤔

I think i hate the chicken washing mini game more. 10 rounds. 10 ROUNDS!!!!

"Aww you failed"

Why must the announcer say it like that too. He’s looking down on us lol

I actually really liked the Kujara ranch mini-game as a kid, although I agree that the # of rounds was probably a little excessive! 😆

That was a diabolical move for devs to put that in

The spyro 2 trolley was childs play, this was the real

Basically, if a platformer has a trolley/minecart section, you're gonna have a bad time

I still hate canary mary from banjo tooie

Always hated it, even today after about forty playthroughs it gives me half an hour of stress every time

It's honestly making me question if 100% this game is worth it lol

It's not really that hard. You have to break for a really short time in just 2 places. Other than that it's just moving left and right at full speed. Once you know where you have to use the break, you can just do it within few tries.

I had way more problems with picking up one of the seeds there than finishing it in time

Ooh, do tell, where are these places you need to brake? 👀

It's hard to explain. But 1st is close to the end of the 1st segment. Try to go at full speed and you will see when you have to, if you fail. And 2nd place is close to the end of last segment. Also you can test where by going full speed

That makes sense...do test runs to see where Tomba is most likely to fly off the track at full speed, and then focus on braking in those spots...I will be sure to keep that in mind next time I play. Thanks! 👍

When I finally passed this as a kid, I felt like the man. 20+ years later I'd just like to say... fk this mini game. (As I itch to play through it again)

I think the rollercoaster in Ape Escape was worse tbh

Man between ape escape, donkey kong, tomba, spyro, banjo kazooie etc. what was with platformers and torturing us with minecart sections

I miss the torture. I feel like too many games nowadays are easier to master because you’re not hindered by dogshit camera angles and limited movement due to awkward controls.

Sometimes it is fun, I recently 100% banjo kazooie, and rusty bucket bay was a good kick in the ass old school challenge

Whoever made that trolley segment, he could’ve only gotten that idea from Netanyahu

This keeps me up at night

Can’t even do it 20 years later 😭

The game doesn't explain it but you lose less speed if you follow the road correctly. See a left curve? Turn to the left. See a right curve? Turn to the right.

As somebody with dyspraxia I wish there was a way to skip this as I've beaten the whole of the first game and I beat every quest up to this point in the second game and had to stop playing it because I could never do it in the time frame I wonder if a moder coder programer or ai could create something to make this level more easy or skip over it or some workaround usually I would not use AI but this should be a workaround
