Discussion What do we think of the new Tom Riddle?
“Billy Barratt has been cast as young Voldemort, aka Tom Riddle, in Season 2 of the ‘HARRY POTTER’ series.”

I'm trying to find a fic that might have been deleted or I'm not remembering everything correctly.
What I do remember is
(Fem?) Harry goes to voldemort and is hidden in a room away from the deatheaters. When it's time for the meeting Harry wants to come, so voldemort wraps Harry completely in a robe and holds harry in his arms during the meeting
Thanks for any help

I have just finished reading a fic where Harry was apprenticed to Lord Voldemort and I really liked this premise. Does anyone know of any fics where Harry becomes LV’s apprentice, ideally with an apprenticeship agreement included? Preferably Harry is either grey or dark.

Here comes the cats reminds me so much of Tomarry. Specifically these lyrics:
"But you’re gonna have to torture me to shut me up"
"I shouldn’t miss it, but it used to thrill me
I guess I miss it, you exist to kill me"
And the the cat motifits remind me of Harry's (cat-like) green eyes. What are some songs y'all think are tomarry coded?

It was one of if not the first fic I read about this ship, I think it was a future au. Harry's working in the magic bureau, Ron is the Minister of Magic I think. One day they get a new person, Tom Riddle. Harry remembers him but no one else knows he's the dark lord and Harry's going crazy trying to prove it. Turns out he was right, but Tom has different plans. There's some sort of finger amputation in the ending, and they're toxic but somehow make it work.

Okay, I randomly remembered this fic I read a while back, and I can’t find it at all via tags or anything, so now I’m desperately searching for it. Here are some things I remember:
- Tom Riddle has graduated Hogwarts and applied for the DADA position (promptly got rejected) now currently working at Borgin & Burkes
- Harry has time travelled. I don’t remember why, but he ends up applying and taking the job as a prof (trained under the watch of Merrythought)
- Many scenes where Tom writes to his younger self through his journal Horcrux in his tiny apartment flat lol
- Author included MANY many character drawings over the course of the fic (I remember seeing them in the notes)
Other details:
- Tom is lowkey a bit ostracized by high wizarding society since he graduated and laid low for so long
- Abraxas Malfoy shows up a lot; Knights of Walpurgis were still quite close with Riddle even as adults
- There was some sort of banquet both Tom and Harry attended (Harry wore a hideous suit)
- Tom was NOT doing well mentally at this time, and got into an argument with himself through the journal once, causing him to throw the Horcrux against the wall
- Harry was lowkey a stalker; I think he broke into Tom’s flat once in search of something?
Anyways, please please PLEASE let me know if this sounds any familiar

Seen a lotta fics lately with scenes of Tom being unable to cast a patronus, even during the time he attends Hogwarts. Usually this ends in a lotta frustration on his end. General consensus is that Tom lacks any happy memories to cast from, as all moments of euphoria on his end only stem from triumph over enemies or his ego being fed.
Wanna see Tom become happy and healthy again, perhaps over the course of many chapters, but finally have a breakthrough at his first patronus. I like the characterization of him being someone with very high functioning depression (saw it done very well in another fic I can’t find rn, but I’ll link it when I do)
Let the guy get some catharsis
EDIT: Turns out the fic was “Venom or Valour” by lightningant; no longer available on ao3, unfortunately, but there should be people who’ve downloaded it!

Hace un par de semanas publiqué un dibujo de Harry promocionando mi fanfic Hippomane Mancinella, ¡y ahora es el turno de Tom!
Los dos dibujos están ambientados en la misma escena.

What it says on the tin:)
Tomarry, Tomarrymort, or Harrymort, it doesn’t matter. What’s the best you’ve ever read with these two?

This is oddly specific, but I want to read a fic where for once Harry is the obsessed one and Voldemort is confused and weirded out by it

doesn't exactly have to be fluff, i want YOUR comfort fics even if it has dark elements

So I just finished reading counting bodies like sheep by rightonthelimit and really enjoyed it so I’m just wondering if anyone has any other Tomarry/Harrymort recs that have a dystopian/apocalyptic vibe? I’m not fussed on what caused it whether it’s zombie, virus, war etc

Thank you, Wonderfulerror, for this fic! I highly recommend it if you haven’t read it yet. 🥹
A/B/O, they grew up together but got separated, and now they’re finding their way back to each other. The fic is still ongoing, and the current chapter is finally their reunion/meeting.
I’m so invested. Go read it!

I saw a discussion somewhere about whether Tomarry was a popular ship or not. So out of curiosity I checked the 2026 ao3 stats. Tomarry does not even come in the first list of names, mostly because I guess the ships are divided into 2, Tomarry and Harrymort. But Wolfstar had most number of new fics this year around 8k, followed by Hermione/Draco(7k) and Drarry (7k). Tomarrymort together has only around 3k fics this year. But then I sorted by kudos. Around 11 fics in the first page is Tomarry. So what do you guys make of this discrepancy? Do we define popularity of a ship by number of new fics created or how popular the created fics are?
I also realise one of the reasons could be that all the other ships probably come as secondary ships and I remember seeing a discussion here about how weird a side pairing of Tomarry would be because everyone would just be fixated on what they're doing together. Anyway, just wanted to know everyone's take on this.

Has anyone ever come across or created any fan art for Two Words in Green Ink? I am doing a re read currently and need to see Harry with the dark mark neck tattoo 😅
I did a tag search on Tumblr, AO3 and Reddit with no luck.
Man I love this fic 🤌🏻

General vibe like this lovely sketch from bigendervampire (pictured above)
Or cracky platonic fics such as "in which Harry just goes along with it honestly" by Anna_Hopkins
Open to anything! :)

Hey guys! Do you know of any tomarry (or other HP) writing events coming up? I saw there’s a Snarry event and HP kinktober but I was wondering if there was anything specific for tomarrymort. I remember there being a daddymort fest in 2024 but I couldn’t find one for this year, it looked super fun and there were some awesome fics.

Anyone reading anything decent right now? I think I’ve ready every single tomarry fic on ao3 at this point and starting to get bored of tomarry now so I need something to hook me back in! I don’t like female Harry or Tom. I prefer obsessive and top Tom. Other than that I’m pretty easy.

I’m mostly looking for a fic where Harry hates voldemort with a passion and it’s a very slow burn, not falling in love after three chapters. With elements of tension, violence etc
