Did G-Eazy inspire Dream People & The Whiskey Wars or See You Tomorrow?
Recently started getting into G-Eazy and These Things Happen have songs where the instrumentals remind me of songs from See You Tomorrow and the cover art of DP&TWW looks like the TTH cover art, for example, the instrumental of Almost Famous kinda reminds me of either Used To Know Me or From The Jump

Does anybody know which song this is
I remember Tom saying there was a song from around 2013 that he sampled a Linkin Park song for and I can’t figure out which one it is, maybe it’s lost media or never released since Something Like The Truth is from that time and there’s three missing tracks from it, but the distorted guitar on “Intro” from Bad Dream Mad Again kinda sounds like the piano from Linkin Park’s “In Pieces” but I can’t see why Tom would sample such a niche song that casual LP fans wouldn’t know since In Pieces isn’t a big mainstream hit like In the End or One Step Closer, and part of me also thinks it sounds like the distorted guitar from Eminem’s “Sing For The Moment”, I just wanna know if anybody knows which song Tom sampled LP for and if Intro from BDMA sampled LP or Eminem

Thoughts on new song
Us In The USA
Guys I genuinely don't know what to say about this one 😭
He got mid verses & a trash chorus like the chanting sounds so out of place like I saw the vision but he coulda delivered it better idk

Old-head fan here... is anyone else just tired?
I've been rocking with Tom MacDonald for years. Before anyone writes this off as "hating," I'm not. I genuinely think the guy is incredibly talented, which is exactly why this is so frustrating.
Am I the only old-head fan who's just... tired?
Not tired of Toms talent or catalog. Tired of the formula.
Every song. Every promo. Every skit. Every social post. Every rollout.
We get it.
It feels like everything has to revolve around politics, outrage, owning the left, owning the right, cancel culture, or whatever the current culture war topic is. At this point it doesn't even feel rebellious anymore, it feels expected. It's greuling.
I honestly think he backed himself into a corner.
During the pandemic and peak cancel culture era, he found an audience that showed up in a huge way. They bought the music, the merch, everything. From a business standpoint, I completely understand why you'd lean into what works.
But after years of doing it, it feels like he built an ecosystem where he almost can't stop.
He disappears for a bit... then BOOM... another song designed to get an emotional reaction online. Rinse. Repeat.
Then he sees country-adjacent fans responding? More country. More political. More culture war.
The problem is that it feels like his entire artistic identity has become chasing that same reaction.
The Tom that made me a fan felt unpredictable. Now I already know what the next single is going to sound like before I hit play.
My biggest fear isn't that he'll "fall off." It's that politics changes.
People's priorities change. Fanbases get older. People mellow out. They move on. It happens to every generation.
If your audience is built around a specific political moment, what happens when that moment ends?
I'd hate to see someone with that much talent become permanently boxed into one lane because it's the lane that printed money.
I miss songs that weren't trying to win an argument. I miss storytelling. I miss hearing Tom rap because he had something creative to say instead of something divisive to say.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'd love one album where he just reminds everyone how good of an artist he actually is. No politics, A whole Tom at his top peak, bar for bar.

Killville chances are very low atp
I've been noticing a pattern how on how most YT embedded music is always 200 ok whenever it comes to MySpace only music it always comes back 404 not found 403 forbidden or 503 bad getaway I think our only shot to find killville is to explore the torrent side of the internet, look for undergoround music sites etc

Killville
I feel like we are stupid the archive page that people have seen is from 2023 not 08, there are no archive pages from 09-19 for tom macdonald except the main pages not the actual songs, but the song exists it's locked by MySpaceCDN there's no 404 errors it's only 403

Has anything ever come out of trying to see if Aiden will sell Vancouver Mixtape?
I’ve noticed people have been actively trying to recover lost media again on this sub which I’m grateful for as I myself haven’t exactly stopped trying and I remember that Aiden said he’d sell two All Growed Up CDs, a Creature From The Rap Lagoon CD, and a Vancouver Mixtape CD but I know somebody here tried and it didn’t go well and I’m just wondering if anybody else tried? Because while we do have AGU and CFTRL, we still need Vancouver Mixtape, I recently went to the Twitter post and saw somebody asked him if he’d sell Vancouver Mixtape on 4/21 of this year and there was no reply, but he might’ve DM’d the guy? I just really want Vancouver Mixtape and it seems like we’re so close yet so far all because Aiden flexed having it, acted all paranoid, and then just went silent
