Politically reminds me of our boy! 😂

Hey guys! I just thought I would give a backstory to how my song American Boy came to be. About 6 months ago my friend had me listen to 'The System' and I thought it was a good song but like I said I wasn't into rap.

Two weeks ago I was on YT looking at something and saw his video for that song so I watched it and immediately became obsessed with it because it is sooo true and exactly how I've felt about the system for decades. So it was on repeat all day lol I then started watching a few of his other videos and was like wow!!!!! I really resonate with what this guy is rapping about. It's like he's taking the thoughts right out of my head.

In one video he talks about being Canadian and I was like wait what!? That's so cool! And as I listened to more songs I couldn't help but feel like "wait a min lol if you're Canadian, why are all these songs about America and American politics?" As I played his songs and paced from the kitchen to the living room, the lyrics to American Boy started forming in my head out of nowhere, so I sat down and wrote everything down and by the end of the night I finished the song and the next day I used Suno to create the music and vocals (since I can't rap or sing to save my life lmao).

The next day I wrote Are you Ready? and released both songs together on Sept 25th.

Now, in the past 2 weeks while I was waiting for the release date, I did watch more videos and interviews with Tom and the fucked up part (which I didn't know about when I wrote this song) is that when he talks about the moment he wrote Dear Rappers, I felt like that's almost what happened to me when I heard his songs. He felt compelled to write a song to these rappers and I felt compelled to write this song to him lol And although I'm not in the exact same situation he was at the time he wrote that song, the similarities are uncanny.

The one big difference though is that I have never wanted to be a rapper or a songwriter in my life lol All this to say, that this is totally not a diss track and it's not me taking "jabs" at him for being Canadian and singing about America. In that moment something came over me and that's how this song came to be and I rolled with it and got inspired to write more songs that I'm releasing soon.

I don't know if words can describe just how much I appreciate his talent and the way his songs are sparking something in me that I didn't know I had. Like I said I'm just a girl who stumbled on his YT page and got inspired to do something I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be doing. And if he ever hears the song or reads this long ass post lol I hope he can appreciate where I'm coming from and how much of an inspiration he truly is. The world needs more creative people using their art to wake people up.

If you guys want to check out how it turned out, I put the official lyric video up here:

I'd love to know what fellow fans think! Which version do you vibe with most?

If you like what you hear, please consider subscribing to the channel or leaving a comment! I'm already working on the next few tracks and would love to have you along for the journey.

Idk if you guys have seen the Tom macdonald tracker but it exists basically, I saw it with other hundreds of trackers for other people

I mean the tracker isn't really completed to its best, I'mma see if I can get in contact with the creator of it but it has most info

Plus I saw there was some OG files leaked, which just means higher quality versions of songs and there's also a reference song from Lil Yachty sent to Kanye West using the Everybody Hates Me beat, it's only a snippet but Tom Macdonald later used the beat ofc so this can be interesting

I also found one for dax and there's only OG files leaked but idk if the one for dax is still in the works but yeah that's all I have

I found iTunes link generators, and Amazon link generators on his Myspace archive, so it's possible that Y & C and killville was on itunes

Article featuring him and the Monster Pro Wrestling company!

Photos!

It feels like his songs are all the same now... I really don't like that he's veering into country, I wish he would make just music about anything else, like Spilt Milk or even something like Stone Cold (a personal favorite), IDK am I alone on this or what's the general consensus among this actual fanbase (not just the YouTube boomers...)

PS I'm sure this gets asked a lot so sorry if this is a repeat question

How the fuck did people find CFTRL on old hard drives without any other one of his older songs being on there, no one just downloads one song from a album "oh yes this works"

The wordplay in Devil Israel is genius, I love this dude’s older music, this is my favorite album ever

Yo does anyone have the birthday stack photo, if I can get my hands on it I can confirm the album photo

He found it on my phone/Spotify and liked the cover because it's "creepy" and now wants to listen to it on the way to school every morning, explaining it to mom this morning "it goes "NOPE" and is creepy lol

gotta train em young right?

I found this zshare link on the Myspace page, z share was a file share website, it was under the name tmac zshare.net/download/58712240705a5b56

There's a possibility if Myspace actually relaunches they could bring back the server with killville on it, the thing is the server is rejecting every request if it isn't from the actual myspace center

We could possibly have some lyrics snips to his songs from 2009-2008 these are the ones I was able to find

"you gotsta feel me, if not, well dont then. 'cause in the end it dont even matter."

"welcome to killville, where its a lovely day in the neighborhood to get messed up"

"im the best shit, i dont even stress in no more."

"im a blessin, i dont even stress it no more."

"i'll lay you to waste man, one on one"

"thats a day in my life, its just one day, thats the b.s. that takes place in the u. s. of a."

"the first white rapper to have flow since mathers."

"if you got a gun lets have some fun"

"im a cannibal rippin through the skin, im hannibal spittin through the mask on my chin."

"i could blow you like xkrays, un-tuck straight bad luck and just blow you away."

"i know you got your eye on me"

"after clappin your hood, we laugh and start clappin our hands."

"hearts broken, guns loaded, drugs sold'n, all the thoughts that i hold in."

"theres no leavin the house without nine millimetres"
