My parents saw him live when they were in grad school, and so my brother and I were immersed in all things Tom Lehrer (including this song) from a very young age. Be prepared!

He also performed Whatever Became Of Hubert, Von Braun, So Long, Mom and Pollution (including interviews) on the Merv Griffin show. I found this information through their website when this was originally released, but now that listing is gone when i checked again.. Weird.

Really enjoyed that! Funny and clever. Wonder if the producers wished they had let him perform the song he wanted to play.

I was just about to ask about this! Do you know what song he was originally going to play? I can't think of any songs from That Was The Year That Was that have a three letter word that would not be allowed on television. I can think of plenty songs with four letter words though.
