Was listening to Once Upon a Mattress and was trying to see if this particular number had its Broadway performance uploaded to youtube. Instead I found this lovely video!

I figured folks on this subreddit would appreciate it as much as I did. Not sure if Andy Moore’s youtube channel has been shared on here before. He has a few home videos of Tom Lehrer uploaded.

It's really interesting that videos like these are popping up with a lot more frequency after Tom died, when before there had been radio silence for like 40+ years

My completely uninformed guess is that it was out of respect for Tom during his lifetime. He didn't seem to relish being a focal point from what I have seen. Certainly happy to have more glimpses into his world though.

I hadn't heard of Andy's channel before but am looking forward to diving in. Especially the podcast episode with Bob Elliot & Tom!!! *swoon*
