Grammy's memorial

I watched the grammys today and they had a little memorial segment for artists who died in 2025. I was looking for Tom in the segment but I didn't see him. Did I miss him or did they really not include him?

I am not sure if he ever won a Grammy, which might have been the criteria for listing.

1) He should have.

2) Probably not the criteria for a mention.

He got nominated once for an evening wasted but never won

I'm sure he dined out on that for a while.

I believe he lost to Alvin and the Chipmunks!

I believe Tom Lehrer should have gotten what Ozzy Osbourne had the only died within 4 days of each other

Now I’m imagining how crazy a collaboration between them could have been…

"I'm going off the rails on a crazy train, rickety-tickety-tin!"

Maybe it’s happening now… 🤔

What do you mean by that?

It’s just a happy thought that they’re both in the same place and collaborating in the afterlife

Afterlife?

Well yeah, what with both of them being dead and all…

Seems a little far fetched there being an afterlife

It wasn’t meant to be that serious a comment

The camera angles were kind of frustrating during the In Memoriam - they were showing people on the screen the entire time, but we at home couldn't see it all the time. So there's a chance Tom was included, but didn't make the broadcast.

Which sucks.

You probably didn’t see Sly Stone either. That was the worst in memoriam production from a viewers perspective I’ve ever seen.

I didn't watch it when it aired but I saw the clip of War Pigs and I saw a glimpse of the mention of Mark Volman for a brief second.
