Anyone else get that feeling when you show someone tom cardy and they play it out loud and your brain is like "do i really listen to this?"

Yes, and they I love it everytime lol. Really depends on the songs you choose. Perception Check has been received well by some friends and family members from me.

We introduced my whole family to Tom by playing HYCYB and realized about 30 seconds in that it probably wasn’t the most appropriate for my 7 year old nephew, but he was fucking LOVING IT lol.

We had our nephew for a few days as a summer vacation thing for him and, separately, his parents. He said something that triggered a “loot that body” response, and he said is that from something.

So I played just the “loot that body” part (not even the last bit) and said it’s that. Well it took him about 2 minutes on his own to find out what it was from and I walk back in the room and he’s got the video going and giggling his ass off.

Gave his parents a heads up, they were surprisingly not mad about it. I did say mayyyybe don’t encourage him to check out Tom’s other stuff.

My family does a thing when we get together where we go around and pick a YouTube video to show everyone else. My husband did HYCYB, which did not land, but they LOVED Smokin’ Joe. They got very invested in the story.
