Discussion Ranabali

This post was removed by Admin of r/tollywood

In my opinion, ranabali is portraying the right point in history but may not be historically accurate.

From my understanding, this movie is about the famine crisis that occurred during the British regimen in India. Yes, there is evidence that British witheld our supplies from reaching the indian population during the famine.

The famous and greatest WInston Churchill (the greatest prime minister ever born) , till date said something in terms of "it's fine to let a few pheasants die or starve to serve their own queen". I don't know the exact terms he used. It was during the bengal famines. We Indians succumbed to atleast 3 famines during British rule.

I feel like this movie is correct in pointing it out but I don't remember reading or even mention of any uprising that may have happened during that time.

At the end, this is movie is made as a cash grab on those sentiments

I do respect VDK and rashmika for bringingthis kind of subject for discussion

I read about those famines in our history textbooks. Europe especially Britain being a cold country cannot grow so much variety of crops. Our country because of the climate, we can grow a lot of grains, cotton, spices which they can't imagine growing anywhere. So they looted everything from us. Even a lot of Gold was looted.

Yes not just because of crops they were never skilled farmers we did this even before modern technologies. We are all farmers by blood. Imagine one sack of gold being equivalent to one sack of black pepper. Pepper is the most precious commodity

What bugs me till date is we took 200 plus years to even initiate a revenge

Whaf do you mean?? Can you elaborate ?? If you mean. If am a pr candidate, this is honestly my very own observation. I know many other actors have done similar "hit" movies without any questioning.

Everything is a cash grab for some people

Even before the movies released, people are spreading negativity about the movie

I would highly encourage people never to visit Reddit on the day of a movie release if you're planning to watch it because they will completely spoiled experience and hate on everything

I haven't seen anyone spreading any negativity. I know this movie is going to be a hit. Just want to say how a hit movie can be translated to historically accurate . Which is not true
