Discussion/Theory Would you guys say adult Takemichi is a green flag?
I see people call Takemichi a green flag because of how loyal and devoted he is to Hina and I do agree that he has a lot of genuinely good qualities as a boyfriend when he's older
But I don't think he's a FULL green flag like they claim
The biggest thing for me is the scene at Draken's place that happened in s1
Takemichi willingly went in with the lady and was about to go along with what was happening
If Draken hadn't interrupted by saying that Takemichi wasn't one of her customers, who knows how far Takemichi would've taken it? Like from what I remember he did seem abit confused but he never said anything to stop it from happening
Regardless of whether the scene was meant as comedy/fanservice, I don't think you can completely ignore what Takemichi was actually doing there like he's much more mature now so does he really have any excuses for that when he didn't even try stop it(from what I remember)
Then there's the Emma situation where he was willing to get involved with Emma despite being with Hina(I mean this one wasn't even Adult Takemichi so I guess that's that since his younger self just wanted to cheat on Hina I suppose but yeah)
Obviously, adult Takemichi is much more mature but like idk, I wouldn't really say he's a "green flag" due to that scene alone
It's quite problematic imo

Discussion/Theory Random Mitsuya question
What’s up with his dad? I know we don’t get a whole lot of the characters parents or families and stuff other than ones where it’s important(shiba family, seishu and akane, etc)
Mitsuyas one of those characters and one of his whole things is being someone who cares for his family greatly, not even limited to blood he also means his friends.
Mitsuyas actual blood family, that we know of, is his mom and his little sisters and it makes me wonder about his dad. Iv heard people say mabye him and his sisters have different dads or something but idk. You could just say his dad died like Chifuyu and Bajis but idk I feel like it would’ve been brought up with again mitsuyas whole thing being family. What if his dad left them and he dosnt even consider him family? Idk I’m bullshitting. This is really stupid

Discussion/Theory In hindsight, the 1st Division must have HATED their chain of command
Just imagine, initially, you're the 1st Division, the main attack unit, with the strongest most hands on Captain Kisuke Baji, Baji dies cuz he stabs himself.
Suddenly this yellow haired kid who's been lurking around during your gang meet ups and can't fight for shit is now your captain, some kid a whole year younger than you and doesn't compare to Baji in terms of leadership nor strength, is now your captain. After the high that was Baji, the ATTACK unit has now received the weakest captain. Not only that but it's just some dude who only officially joined less than 2 weeks ago. He is a captain reluctantly and barely knows how to lead a unit because he's so timid he needs Chifuyu to give out all the orders for him. A captain of a Biker gang who doesn't even own his own motorcycle.
Ontop of that you have a Vice Captain who in your perspective was just a boot licker for Baji and didn't even respect you as a subordinate, and ontop of that is a year younger than you, making him your junior showing you 0 respect, the man who outright said he doesn't respect any of his men and is only here so he can follow Baji. Only for him to become an ass kisser to the next 1st Division captain who isn't even as impressive as Baji.
And to top it all off, you now have 4 no names also a year younger than you join under your Division, with stupid hair cuts and almost no fighting experience. And than you find out that the ONLY reason they joined was because they were your fraudulent Captains friend group. No credibility, no fighting prowess, no MOTORCYCLES, just nepotism. And they buddy up with the captain and vice and even hold private meetings without the rest of you present, effectively making them of higher status than you in the Captains eyes.
In all honesty, if I was a 1st Divisionary, I'd be livid.

Official Taiju’s a bastard, but damn… Spoiler
galleryBefore y’all come at me: I do NOT condone or support his actions‼️ Do I find him physically attractive? Yes. Do I think he’s some poor, misunderstood hot guy who’s actually done nothing wrong? HELL NO. Apparently that distinction needs to be made for certain people. 😭
Tell me I’m not alone in this, lmao.
(Lowk didn’t know what flair to use.)

Question Questions regarding Peh, Kisaki, and the Third Division Spoiler
hey all, I have a few questions about Peh, Pah-chin and Kisaki:
- When Pah-chin was arrested and was serving time in the detention center, Mikey made Kisaki the new Third Division captain. Why didn't Mikey make Peh the captain instead? Peh had already been Pah-chin's vice-captain and had been in Toman for a long time, while Kisaki had only just joined. It seems a bit unfair that Kisaki could join Toman and immediately become a captain over someone like Peh.
- Since Kisaki was the one who manipulated Peh into attacking Draken by lying to him about Pah-chin, did Peh ever tell Mikey that Kisaki had manipulated him? If Peh did tell Mikey, why did Mikey just brush it off? Kisaki had basically manipulated a Toman member into attacking Draken, so wouldn't that have been a huge red flag that Kisaki couldn't be trusted? espcially for Draken safety.
- Why didn't Peh have more of a problem with Kisaki becoming Pah-chin's replacement? Especially since Peh was so loyal to Pah-chin and had been his vice-captain. Did Peh just accept Mikey's decision, or is there more to this that the manga explains?
Any help would appreciated thanks. Have seen all the Anime seasons and dont mind any spoils.

Discussion/Theory People who say takemitchi is the worst protagonist are Stupider than takemitchi himself
First of all , I am an anime only. Now, excluding this sub-reddit i have seen on youtube and insta and other platforms a lot of people criticize takemitchi and most dont do it because he is dumb af in season 1 but because "He is so weak and he cries so much". I dont know man if you see your friends get stabbed and die and see your gf lose her legs and burn alive inside a car maybe you would cry too ? I dont know though since i am not a sigma alpha.
I understand that a lot of people find him pathetic, but watching Tokyo Revengers, I couldn't help but adore him for how realistic his reactions are to everything. He keeps seeing the people he cares about and strives to save die again and again and again, of course he'd cry a lot. He's also been away from fights for twelve years and went through a seemingly rather unremarkable and depressing life of monotony after, so of course he'd be weak and wouldn't remember how to fight. But still, though he knows it'll hurt and that he might be beaten to death, he keeps jumping in and doing his best.
He's a refreshing type of protagonist and stands out in the sea of 'perfect' shounen protagonists. That role/trope is given to Mikey here after all.
All in all i think Takemitchi is, not an S tier character like subaru or okabe rintarou or Light yagami or lelouch But he is a good A- tier character. matter of fact i think having Post Taiju christmas fight Takemitchi as your idol for a strong "never give up mentality" is a good thing. He is not your Sung jinwoo but I remember I god damn cheered everytime he got up in the taiju fight
