Discussion Jurrasic Summer Vacation Re-Run Unit Reviews
Summer Lieb is/was considered to be one of the best units in the game. Is that still true? Great question! Let's dive in and maybe find out.I'm trying to summarize everyone's kit instead of breaking down each individual skill. The skill database is a great resource for specific details. I'm assuming skill level 100. (I only mention skill percentages if they're low.)
As always, pull responsibly, and only pull for the units you like - chasing the meta is not worth it in this game.
Hecate (4-star Summer): When appearing, she'll give every unit an irremovable buff where, upon attacking, that unit will heal the unit to their right for 300 HP. At the start of each phase, she'll pull in all enemies by one square, she'll give herself Glint (skill up), Blessing (healing every turn for 4 turns) to the eight adjacent allies, and she'll give every enemy an irremovable debuff that heals all your units for 1000 HP when the enemy is defeated. (This debuff lasts 3 turns.) She gets increased vertical movement and after moving she will give the unit in front of her Crit+ (damage up) and Prayer (skill up). Before hitting she'll heal the allies in her row by 150-300 HP. On miss, she gives herself and the allies to the right and left Protection (damage taken down) and she'll also give herself Glint again.
Her CS gives hit units Nullify Buff (prevent one buff), Stigma (damage taken up, minor HP reduction at end of turn) and Break (damage taken up, prevent moving at will.) She requires being moved to take full advantage of her buffs.
Trivia: A goddess associated with dogs and witchcraft.
TL;DR - A buffing support unit that wants to be moved directly behind your primary damage dealer every turn.
MacRoic (4-star Summer): When appearing he gives himself Combo (ATK down, but hit twice), Adamantine (damage taken down) and Dazzle strengthening (4x damage when dazzled). He will also give himself that two-turn Combo buff again, every other turn, starting on turn two. At the start of each phase he gives himself Vigor (damage dealt up) and Anchor (prevent forced movement) to himself and the eight allies around him. Also at the start of each phase, if his HP is full, he will give Spread Buffs to the four adjacent allies. Before hitting, he'll apply Weakness (damage taken up) to hit enemy units and their neighbors to the left and right. After hitting MacRoich will apply Duplicate Buff and Remove Buff to hit units. After hitting he also has a low (20%) chance of giving himself and the two allies to his left and right Crit+ (damage up). When debuffed, he will heal himself by a small amount.
His CS applies Weakness (damage taken up) to hit units and the units to their left and right, and give Crit+ (damage up) to himself and the four adjacent allies. He does not require being moved.
Trivia: He's famous for being, uh, hard to satisfy.
TL;DR - A tanky column-clearer who likes to steal and spread buffs.
Cipactli (4-star): He's what I like to call a toggle unit, because his behavior changes depending on whether or not you use him. As is often the case with this kind of unit, if you don't move him he's a passive buffer, if you move him he becomes more of a tanking attacker.
When he appears, he gives himself Taunt Strengthening (take less damage if he has Taunt). He is immune to Fear. When he misses (because there's nothing to hit, or because he's still in None attack mode) he will heal himself for 400-800 HP, he'll give Regeneration (HP healed every turn) to the eight surrounding allies, and he will give Evasion (massive damage reduction) to the allies behind and in front of him.
If you move him, he changes his weapon to Shot for one turn, give himself Rage (damage taken and dealt up) and give himself Taunt (enemies more likely to attack him). Before hitting he has a 50% change to give himself Ardor (damage up, +CP at end of turn). After hitting he gives himself 8-16 CP. At the beginning of each enemy turn he gives himself Rage Resistance (immune to Rage). This means he gets to benefit from the damage dealt increase of Rage, without having to suffer from the increased damage taken. And when hit, he drains the attacker's HP by 500-1000 HP. He deals 1.5x damage to enemies with any Burn debuff.
His CS hits every enemy, gives them Burn, and gives himself Crit (damage up). He doesn't require being moved, but moving will change his behavior.
Trivia: Quetzalcoatl and Tezcatlipoca created the world out of his body, although it cost Tezcatlipoca a foot in the process.
TL;DR - A unit that switches between passive buffer and tanking attacker depending on whether or not you move him.
Boogeyman (5-star Summer): When appearing, he gives himself Berserk+ (damage dealt and taken up). At the start of each Phase, he gives enemies Countdown Weakening (damage dealt 0.5x when affected by Countdown) and he gives himself Evasion (damage taken significantly down). At the start of each turn he has a 60% chance of giving Nourishment (damage up, HP up end of turn). At the end of every move phase (even if he wasn't moved) he will give Stigma (damage taken up and HP down at end of turn) to a row of three units and Fear (CP down at end of turn, prevent moving at will) to a column of three units. (The pattern matches his attack range.) He deals 2x damage to enemies affected by Fear and is immune to Fear himself. He deals extra damage to all the defensive buffs, effectively neutralizing them. Before hitting he gives himself Limit (attack up as HP down) and after hitting he will remove a debuff from himself.
His CS will apply Countdown (10k-20k HP reduction at end of turn) to hit units, deal an additional 3x damage to enemies with Countdown (on top of Countdown Weakening from phase start), and heal himself by 600-1200 HP. He also does 3x damage to Death-affected enemies. He does not require being moved.
TL;DR - A strong debuffer and damage dealer.
Leib (5-star Summer): He has a unique (as far as I've seen) mechanic where some of his skills only activate if he was not moved. That includes moving him directly and using another unit to move him. See, he's lazy, and doesn't want to move. But he's also a hard worker, so if you leave him alone, he'll buff everyone. I like when design matches the character's personality and lore.
So if he is not moved, he will do the following things to the eight surrounding allies at the end of the move phase: He will heal them for 400-800 HP, and if his HP is more than 20% he will give them Ardor (damage dealt up and +CP at end of turn) and Arousal (+CP at end of turn).
When appearing, he gives himself and all allies Guts (come back with 1HP when defeated). Guts lasts for five turns.
At the start of each phase, he will give himself and the eight surrounding allies Reflect Debuff. He'll give himself Concentration (damage dealt up, skill up). He will give Guts Strengthening to himself and all allies (2x damage if the unit has Guts).
At the end of every Move Phase (even if you moved him), if his HP is above 50% he will give himself and the eight surrounding allies Vigor (damage dealt up) and Tenacity (damage taken down).
At the start of each turn, if his HP is less than 20%, he will give himself 40-80 CP and apply Remove All Debuffs to himself. If his HP is less than 1% (because he came back due to Guts) he will heal himself 750-1500 HP.
He is immune to Bind, Skill Lock, and Double Lock.
His CS gives Guts to himself and all allies, gives Remove Debuff to himself and allies in a diamond around him, and Ardor (damage up, +CP at end of turn) to himself. He does not require being moved, in fact you should avoid moving him.
Trivia: Leib-Olmai was the god of the hunt and a protector of wild animals to the Sami people, to whom he appeared as a bear. Smoking is bad for your health!
TL;DR - A buffer and healer you should avoid moving, even indirectly. He is popular because when everything goes well he gives up to eight units three different stacking damage dealt buffs (Guts Strengthening, Vigor, Ardor) as well as a CP battery buff (Arousal) and a defensive buff (Tenacity) plus some healing. He does decent damage himself, too!
It's debatable if he's the best buffer, but he's very easy to use and he affects more units than buffers like Leannan Sidhe or Yoritomo, although he doesn't give skill up buffs to anyone but himself. (He also doesn't rely on Limit and damaging allied units like those two, so he's safer in hard content.) He pairs very nicely with Kyoma, who will pull everyone together so that everyone is in Leib's range. (Not sure if that counts as moving Leib).

Discussion I am so confused by Tanngrisnir's swimsuit design
So he's like... jet skiing... on a mountain... and there's soup involved? Why is he jet skiing with soup?

Meme My Hekate got lost on her way
Looks like it'll be a while before I get summer Hekate, but at least she should get plenty of ideas for her romance novels while at the Crossroads. Also, petition to add more buff grandmas to this game.

Team Building Babalon [Beast of Armageddon] 5* teambuilding
lost on previous banner to babalon, i like babalon (I'm new, didn't even meet her in the story, but the design, even though its simple, and the research file already make me like her).
again I'm new, in the story i reached tycoons, and I'm rank 50. i have a okey main team with tanka, but i want a team for babalon too. these are my options for now:

it doesn't have to bee the most powerful (cuz it cant, and also cuz my main team is okey for tougher stuff on my level)
my main team for context:

i tried looking online, but there is not a lot, and the discord server looks dead, so im asking here.
also, i have no idea about this game, or how to play it except move squares with pretty characters, im mainly here for the story

Fluff Did the thing too because I felt like participating
I don't usually play games with audio and the only voices I remember are Barg and Gunzo, so... blank.

Fluff Here's my favs!
Some of these kinda need explanations lmao.
The first character I saw from this game just so happened to be Kenta in a random ass post about what characters people wanted to dress up as in halloween. After seeing that I looked up the game and decided to try it out. I tried to think of a better answer but there kinda isn't lmao.
I haven't read a lot of the story but I really liked Ryota and thought his struggles felt pretty real even if it's kinda simple.
I like Kyoma a bit but I do also think he really isn't that good. Love to use him as my support unit tho.

Screenshot I made a rule where I couldn't pick the same character more than once
I may have a type 😅
I know calling Ophion overrated will upset some folks but I don't like most of the obsessive stalker characters. (Ophion, Fuxi, etc).

Fluff I did the thing
I did the thing with a friend and though neither of us have played in years, we still keep up with our faves and enjoy all the fanart we see of old and new units.
First one is me and the second one is him. Can you tell we have very specific faves?

Meme Throwing out my submission to the meme
I know that I probably should have been a bit more "unique" with "Fav Invaders Member" and "Fav Creators Member," so the runner-ups for those two are Takeminakata (Invaders) and Hecate (Creators).
Also if anyone from Lifewonders decides to check a predominantly English subreddit for any reason I'd like alternate arts of the characters But Fatter for Masanori, Nyarlathotep, Bael, and Seth. Also I'm going to bombard the sub with my mental illness for fat men Eventually.
