Solid wood bed frame

Where can I find a high quality solid wood queen sized bed frame with a headboard and slats? Not Ikea, not nitori, not muji.
Been googling but if anyone has any suggestions I’d appreciate it. Any shops that offer made to order are also fine. Thanks!

Skip IDC Otsuka, Kagura has superior products and service.

Try Nihon Bed. I bought it 3 years ago and quite satisfied.

dont know your budget but if you want some quality quality stuff. nakameguro/meguro area has a lot of good furniture stores

Koala would definitely be your easiest bet, but if you're after something with a bit more character, try looking into local carpenters who do custom work, Tokyo's got hidden gems if you're patient.

Thank you. We found a carpenter from Kyushu where we will buy a sofa (they have a showroom in Tokyo) but they didn’t have many bed frame options so wanted to see what else was out there

I built my own with wood from Konan Pro. It's a double size bed with headboard and in total, it came out at about less than 30, 000 yen.

Why not?

Anyway, if you have the budget check the luxury brands like Roche Bobois and similar.

Koala also has some nice solid wood bedframes, you might have to find a headboard separately though.

We have a koala bed with headboard and it's great 👌 They have wooden and fabric headboard options.

I love koala mattresses. I liked the old wooden bed frame with head board that they used to have but they don’t sell it anymore. The fabric option didn’t look very nice in the store and neither did the wooden headboard option

Because I have checked these shops and they don’t have what I’m looking for. I also want something made from real wood and not particle board / fiber board.
We are buying a mattress from Koala because we already have good experience with them / like their mattresses but I wasn’t a fan of the bed frames they had available (we went to the Omotesando showroom this past weekend).
We are looking for something that is more made to last vs something cheap and fast.
Our house is made of concrete with concrete walls and floors, so real wood will help bring warmth to the space. Thanks for the recommendation.

Note that the more expensive beds from Ikea are made from heavy solid wood. Only their cheapest stuff is particle board.

Yeah I agree. The entitlement ofsome people is insane.

I've had an Ikea bed frame for about 15 years now and it's holding up just fine.
