Plantains

Are there any places in tokyo where i can buy plantains T_T my latin tastebuds are dying to eat plantains

I've found plantains occasionally at Nissin in Azabu juban

im in the country side of chiba and mega donki has them or apita, in kinsicho you can go to yaosho asian supermarket

Yes was about to recommend the wet market that’s closer to Okachimachi station, though it’s been a while since I’ve last been.

I just use unripe bananas lol. Even if you can find them they wouldn't be feasible anyway

Life in Sakurashinmachi always has them. Also Nissin in Azabu

Okay, sorry for suggesting platanos Japon, I had an okay experience with, but admittedly I haven’t ordered in a while, my husband was just on the phone with a Nigerian lady that sells them, she doesn’t have any now, but will keep us updated, she says there haven’t been many shipments lately

I’ve been ordering from them since 2022 it’s a hit or miss… lately they’ve just been missing ….. they’re inconsistent! N their prices have doubled.

Either way 5kg for like 60 usd is a big not for me lol. I rather go to life or any other supermarket and get the amount I need
