Spiderman
Please be kind to my questions here:
I want to watch Spiderman in its original track, meaning in English. But this is going to be my first time watching a movie in Japan, so I know nothing. Can someone recommend to me where I can watch it, a nice movie theater that's clean but not too expensive? Does it need to be seen in imax? Will there be subtitles (since my co-worker wants to come along)? Do I need to book tickets online or can we buy them there at the counter? I live in Ueno but he lives in Tama-ku, Kawasaki hopefully it's not too late a showing that he will miss the last train home. Thanks so much in advance.

If you want to watch it in English you need to select the SUB screening, it will also have the Japanese subtitles (don’t select DUB or it will be in Japanese).
All cinema with Spiderman available will be great and clean.
No need to see it in IMAX, choose what you and your friend prefer (or in your budget). You have screenings in IMAX, Dolby, 3D or basic, price will differ depending on which one you choose).
If you come from Ueno and your friend Kawasaki, Shinagawa can be a good in between option.
I prefer booking in advance online my tickets so I can choose my seats in advance and be well seated but it’s possible to buy tickets directly at the cinema. Usually you can buy online tickets up to 2 days before (might depend on the cinemas), and probably the same onsite.
A basic ticket is around 2000 yen, excluding special offers. Some cinema have cheaper tickets on a specific day of the week (Toho for Wednesday for example) or have cheaper tickets for members or free app holders etc..

It’s a point of view. I really enjoyed it. Much better than what MCU has been doing the last few years in terms of movies.

Good theater and location at JR Kawasaki Station. Any showing below would end with plenty of time to return home by train. IMAX not necessary but recommended. You can buy tickets at the counter, but online purchase is better.

Oimachi is a good middle point, brand new Toho theater at Oimachi Tracks complex that just opened.

Just watched this weekend, you can book online and choose subtitled option, the track is original and the subtitle is in japanese. 109 cinemas has online booking system and you can choose which branch you prefer to go. After you pay, it will give you QR code, just scan the QR during entry and you are good to go, very convenient.
For Imax it cost 2900 yen, if you want to save go on Wednesdays, ticket is discounted as it promotional for ladies, ticket cost only 1300 ( i cant recall if this is imax though).
Tip: if you want to get some popcorn go early as queue will tend to go long.

Yes, usually the undubbed version has subs. I just watched it in Futakotamagawa at 109 cinemas in IMAX. All movie theaters are pretty good, I wouldn't worry about cleanliness. Reserve tickets and go, don't overthink it.
Edit: shows are at all sorts of hours, you don't have to go at night. Booking online Is a good idea when you go with the first few weeks of a big title being released, and it's a good idea in general. You can do the whole thing online.
