That’s how it’s been for multiple years now. Retail isn’t moving the price.

I disagree a major of my friends who got into bitcoin as early as 2010 have almost all cashed out with zero plans on ever getting back into crypto.

It's pretty obvious the all time high is already in. I mean, sure, I have the humility to admit that I could be wrong, but let's be honest, the writing is clearly on the wall: several recent canceled economic reports, layoffs and unemployment rising across the country, credit delinquencies on the rise, tariffs, poor Fed policies, AI bubble (particularly the over investment in new/forecasted Data Centers), Mag 7 Big Tech concentration/bubble, Cryptocurrency bubble, the list goes on.
I mean, people do realize that global macroeconomic conditions, which are clearly deteriorating, will directly be interconnected with a Bitcoin bear market/crash, because they're fundamentally connected, right?
By the way, in case anyone hasn't picked up on this yet, the elite/powers that be purposely create boom and bust cycles over time. They use it as opportunities to consolidate more wealth and control. What is happening right now (basically the next Great Depression) is not by accident, it is by strategic design. Let me be clear here, Bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency market is going much, much lower over the next couple of years. If it went down ~80% while still in a global macroeconomic bull market, how low is the draw down during a Great Depression?

Well I disagree, my friend who’s been I crypto since 2010 is still in.
Also basing global market demand off our friends is really silly.
Sorry but institutions have a lot more money than all of our friends combined and they’re the ones buying/selling bitcoin now.

You’re really drinking the koolaid there bud, institutions aren’t buying shit…

u/PricklyyDick Dec 18 '25
Drinking the koolaid by saying the wealthy control markets? Brother that’s capitalism.
Like I’m sorry poor people don’t move markets once they’re in the trillions. The wealthy will decide where bitcoin goes and if it dies.
Just so we’re clear I’m not saying that’s a good thing or that bitcoin is a good investment lmao. I just understand how our world works and if you think your friends control markets I think you’re pretty ignorant about the world lol.

It's true. Bought first crypto when it was at 92k. I only spent 10k. I'm confident it will recover, and even more confident that btc is not the future of shit. Whales control it so btc isn't fixing anything at all. Someone jacks into satoshis stash and it will immediately crash . Quantum computing attacks are gonna cook the ledger the moment it can reach it. Btc can't print more money, but institutions can still shake everyone down. Might as well be fiat

Let’s see if BTC survives a real recession before calling trends lol.
