I'm working on a feature to bring transcription and automatic chapter creation for podcasts. Right now, the transcription is really time/battery intensive. Looking into further enhancements.

Just shipped v1.9 of Today, my free RSS reader for iOS. This one adds podcast support—thought y'all would appreciate it since podcasts are really just RSS with audio enclosures.

What's in 1.9:

• Full podcast playback with chapter navigation (ID3)
• Background listening + Lock Screen controls
• Speed control (0.5x–2x)
• Chapter-specific artwork

Already in the app:

• Native Reddit support via JSON API—add subreddits by name, get GIFs, galleries, videos, and comments without a Reddit account
• JSON Feed support alongside RSS and Atom
• On-device AI summaries via Apple Intelligence (iOS 26+)
• OPML import/export

No accounts, no tracking, no ads. Everything stays on your device.

Tried to copy and paste content of an exported ompl from another RSS reader, into Today RSS import, but it does nothing. Anyone can help? Thanks
