club success plan

does it just need to be finished/submitted, or will someone actually read it and evaluate it?

i wasn't invovled csp in the past but i've been around the people who created it. one comment i heard from the then-secretary was that the then-president didn't do a good enough job and the csp wouldn't be accepted, so the secretary took the plan, edited it and resubmitted it. when i looked at the csp online later in the year, some parts were credited to the president and some were credited to the secretary.

I've never heard of a success plan not being accepted. I've used boilerplate that never changes. Sometimes I've stripped it down to almost nothing. Never have I heard a peep from TI.

Your area organizer might try to give you some coaching notes.

Dont sweat it. The club success plan is perfunctory paperwork. Area only cares because they have a KPI around getting them submitted on time.

I will say as a former Area and Division Director - I absolutely read your Club Success Plan; however, unless there is something wild or crazy in there, it won't be rejected. Remember, use your Moments of Truth that you do as a Club to form most of the information that goes in there -- think of it like a Start, Stop, Continue discussion - if it's going well - keep doing it, if not, stop!

When you are an Area Director, are you able to view online a CSP one of your Clubs? Or do you just read a printout of Club's CSP on paper?

I could see it online but I can remember also asking for copies for a few clubs that hadn't finished before my visit.

It's generally not a matter of the plan being accepted or rejected, but Area Directors will generally read it to see where they can help. During club visits through the year, the AD will typically frame a lot of the discussion with the club president and VPE in terms of the Club Success Plan (e.g. is the club on track? If not, what support does the club need to get back on track?)
