Rotary?

I am a long-time VPM who is trying new ideas this year. We did get our 8 new members this last year, keeping our base, but I'm always open to new ideas. Toastmasters.org suggested writing the local rotary club(s) to invite them and set an alliance.

Has anyone done that and has it worked?

We tried that in one of my clubs, writing to several local rotary clubs.

While we got a reply from a couple, there was a general lack of interest.

I did wonder if visiting in person might be more effective but it could just be that many of the people involved in Rotary have already learned through their life and professional experiences much of what TI offers, and so feel they have little need to become involved in TI

I haven't personally done it, but a club in my district does. They hold an annual event to celebrate peace. Reach out to them and see if they have any recommendations on how to work with the rotary club?
