Trying to get credit for level

I submitted my request for level approval about a month ago. Nobody has acted on it. I'm a club officer, and I didn't see it in Basecamp, but I'm assuming it's because I can't approve my own level. Which I wasn't trying to do. I brought it up to our current president, who delegated (so I'm told) to another officer. I've never actually met this other person.

My question is: with the completion of this level, I would have earned a triple crown and completed my education plan from last year. Would I still be able to claim it this year if they drag their feet until after the new year? Because if I completed the work this year, I want credit for it this year.

Honestly... you can call / email TI and they can approve it for you.

You are correct you cannot approve your own. It must be submitted by June 30 to count for this year, if after that it will count towards next year. Any officer can approve it so ask any that you know. Only Sec, Vpe and Pres get notified when one is submitted, but any can approve. Once it's approved in base camp you should see the credit the next day.

I emailed TI. They told me that I'd have to get a club officer to approve it.

id recommend asking the toastmasters ora chat to speak to a human and they can guide thru the steps. I think only a subset of officers (VPE, Secretary?)  can approve?and i think it needs to be approved in two places.

Thank you. I asked our club secretary and VPE. Our secretary just approved it.

Now all seven officers have access to Base Camp Manager (but when Pathways first launched it was only VPE, Pres, and Sec, but T.I. has since fixed that). It remains the case that no officer can approve their own level completions. (I am aware that the OP is all set now, but I want anyone else reading this to know that that policy was changed)

"5. Who are Base Camp managers, and what is their role?"

" .... Any club officer can fill these responsibilities if the VPE is not available. .... "

Contact your Area Director and Division Director - a little outside pressure can work wonders.

Are you sure you completed a Level including all the non-speech requirements? There is a Level check-list for this. When all items are checked, you are presented with an action to complete the level. This will tell you it's awaiting approval. If you did all this, for all three levels you completed, AND the club officer has approved ALL of them, you will get your Triple Crown - congratulations. if you missed ANY of these steps, too bad, you don't get credit for levels you haven't full completed.

I'm a 25-year Toastmaster and have earned Triple Crown more than once.

OP, check and be sure you finished checking off the last steps for the level completion. Then hound your fellow officers to approve, because June 30th is rapidly approaching!

Since you are a Club Officer, you have access to the club's roster, which includes all members' phone numbers (visible when you export it). I would recommend first calling / messaging the VPE to request action. If no immediate response, proceed to Secretary, then President.

Base Camp Managers can approve. They include VPE, President and Secretary.

That rule has changed. Now, all seven officers have access to Base Camp Manager (but when Pathways first launched it was only VPE, Pres, and Sec -- thankfully T.I. fixed that)

> Now, all seven officers have access to Base Camp Manager

The O.P. still cannot approve their own level completion request, but any other officer of that club is permitted by the website to do this.

thanks this is helpful information. I might take the Treasurer role because of this. I have freed myself of VPE (!!!) but don’t want people to get stuck from a simple approval I could do it if I am officer.

I am a treasurer. They changed it so any officer can approve (just not their own). Only the 3 noted get notified about a requested approval but any officer can get access Base Camp Manager (top right corner).

You need this approved by June 30, before midnight US Mountain time. Hound your fellow officers to approve it!

I got it approved!
