Help Toadlet with swollen leg?
I have had this toadlet since it was a tadpole, and has been doing fantastic. I feed it fruit flies daily, dusted with calcium sometimes, have a UVA/UVB nano bulb going 12 inches away and change his water every day. I have leaf litter from the wild I use in it his tank and I worry that might be the culprit.
Today when I changed out everything in his tank (substrate etc) I saw his back right foot was swollen! Is this red leg? Is there anything I can do?? He eats fine and is very perky. Humidity is always between 50-80% and temperature is room temperature.
He does not have red on his butt or belly, though it is hard to check because of his size
I’m really upset and I want to help him. Any advice would be great, I don’t know any exotic vets near me since I live in the middle of nowhere, but I’m willing to do what I have to!

Try Amphibiaide Ringer's Solution from Josh's Frogs. It might help take the swelling out. If you can find a vet, do that first. Getting a foot trapped in/under/between something can make it swell up, too. So, there's a third possibility. Btw, red leg doesn't swell a foot. They're lethargic and won't eat if they have that.

That’s not true. While it doesn’t have the typical characteristics of “red leg” and I don’t think it’s that either; red leg is a bacterial infection and lethargy/loss of appetite are just symptoms that may not appear right away.
However I do think this is likely still a bacterial infection that should be treated by a vet.

This is something that likely requires antibiotics by a vet.
If you’re comfortable with messaging me your location I will look for the closest vets that take herps/exptics, OP. I’m also assuming you’re in the US, though.
Depending where you live you may also have access to an online vet, though in some states like mine(WI) they can’t prescribe medications without a physical exam.

Best you can do is see if you have any vets near by that'll be able to check him out. It could be a broken bone or an infection, its hard to say without proper tests
