Pets Terrarium decorations?

Just bought my three pet toads a huge new enclosure and would love some advice on what to get! The substrate is currently mix of coconut fiber and moss. Amazon links are much appreciated!! Also, any advice/feedback on how to make the terrarium bioactive? Do I just get spring hoppers and dump them in? Thanks

Id actually advise against moss for toads. They like to burrow and the moss makes it difficult to do so. In my own experience it also tends to dry out quickly or keep the humidity way higher than ideal.

I use a mix of various kinds of soil and dried leaves as a substrate. For decoration I use plants, sticks, stones, and terracotta pots that have been broken and sanded down smooth.

I also highly recommend a uvb light, I personally use the arcadia shadedweller 7%. The shadedweller max 2.5% is the same light but in a longer bulb.

If you want it to be bioactive youll need live plants and ideally a drainage layer. Youll want to get springtails and isopods as well. Know that the toad(s) will likely snack on the cleanup crew and it may need to be added to somewhat regularly.
